Have you ever SEEN the type of people that crawl around horse auctions out in the country? Not the really nice auction where registered horses are auctioned off at ungodly prices...
I mean the sad dirty horse auctions where 80% of the buyer are men from the Horse Slaughter divisions. Everytime I go to this particular auction I want to gouge my eyes out and die... it's THAT bad.
Every redneck and heartless bastards sloths around there checking out the animals knowing perfectly well they aren't leaving that auction til their rig/monsterous trailer is packed to the top with sad starved/abandoned horses.
One time there was this little buckskin gelding, adorable like 14.3H small guy... but frieeeendly... starved... sad... neglected.... -cries- anyway the horse came up when i was in the back cause I had full permission to buy this horse...well turns out the little creature went for a No Sale...
My dads friend who worked there found me told me and pointed out the guy who owned the horse and how he was GIVING it to the slaughter guys for like 10.00$US... I almost died! I chased this guy down with my friend and they are loading Scooby(I was dumb enough to name him) into this huge horse trailer...
Turns out the meat guys wouldn't give him up even though we offered to pay a few hundred for him.. and being that the guy already made the deal it was pretty much over. Talk about tramatizing. To this day I'm affected by that... I must have cried for hours..
I'm the type of girl who would open up an horse sanctuary even though I wouldn't get profit from it! God, makes me so made these sickos... how can you kill horses like that, take mean nasty dying desiesed horses! the ones that wanna kill people... not perfectly happy neglected horses...
My show horse from my teen-age years was purchessed at this particular auction believe it or not... it was late and my dad and I wanted to go, I must have been like 9, we got up to leave without buying anything when they bring out this rearing nasty mare... Laughing about how mean she is and scaring her around the tiny arena for fun. I mean she was friggen PETRIFIED... and the one guy jumps on her back, FAT a** GUY, and rides her around as she's stumbling.
It was bad...
Well she had papers and bidding started, normal people wouldn't bid she was too nuts... so meat guys were bidding on her. Around 600$US mom raises her hand out of the blue, Dad's jaw drops and BOOM we won the sale.
600$US thats dirt cheap for a horse....
Today she's priceless to me(and old... poor girl is 21 but happy as a clam)
Back in the day after i showed her and what not she was worth around 4000.00$US easy. I love her to death, it goes to show those horses up there rotting at auctions ARE NOT MEAT PRODUCT... It's disgusting that these creatures are being sold off like cows!
I'm ranting... But for good reason. It's not fair, and it drives me nuts cause I can't do anything about it. I have 11 horse stalls... and everyone one of those stalls has a horse in it...
Someone needs to rally together and get ahold of Bill Gates... be like "WE NEED FUNDING TO SAVE THE PONIES!!!!" Could you imagine that? 100's of acres of horse pastures for adoptive horses, I know there are a few but not enough.
Ok... Back to homework..........
