Those of you who know me in real life might think this journal entry is probably just me being a smart-a** by just looking at the title.
I WILL HAVE YOU KNOW, THIS IS FER CEREAL. *meaning, this is serious*
Firstly, look at the world around you. What do you see? Your perception of the world is very important, though it is irrelevant in my statement. If you can see the bright side of the Earth's condition, good for you. I am not talking about the "sunny side"; I could really care less.
This journal entry is about the cruelty of man to his fellows.
Why do we hurt those around us? Why do the innocent and naive have to suffer? Why are human beings so focused on power and control?
The answers to these questions I do not know. I cry when I hear of the children raped and murdered on a daily basis. I want to scream in rage when I hear of the things corporate bastards do, just for power, money, and control. Why, why must these things happen?
I am not sure, but I do believe the suicide rates and numbers of clinicly depressed people are higher now than ever. Can you imagine why?
I can.
The modern world we live in is more stressing than ever, and people are going insane. You know the kids who are showing up to school with guns and shooting everyone on campus? Yeah. Now tell me things are just fine.
Due to the color of skin, differences in culture and origin, not to mention opinions, stereotypes, etc., etc., we lose sight of the fact that we ARE basically one people, a human race. To go further, what does every human being have in common with cats, dogs, moose, and that little flower that always grows up through the crack in the sidewalk, even after you cut it down?
WE ARE ALL ALIVE!
Why can't we realize that love can solve all of our problems? Not romantic love between a man and a woman, and certainly not lust.
I tell you of the love between a human, and his or her fellow human. The love between brothers. Unconditional love that exists between all people, love that you don't have to earn. The respect of life, and rights of all human beings.
No matter if you are a middle-class American student in a family with 2.5 children, or a rebel fugitive in South Africa struggling for life and the safety of your children, we are ALL human beings. Shouldn't we treat each other like it?
Well, that's it, I guess. Hope you enjoyed it.
*Please, if you saw any spelling or grammatical errors, tell me so that I can correct them. I sort of have a thing about sounding intellegent, unlike about 75% of the Internet users out there.
