That's the lovely thing about living in Michigan: no matter how many days it's been sunny, warm, rainy, etc. you know that winter will always come back, no matter what. It could be April and we could get a random snow-storm. Granted, it's nothing like in Martin's novels, where Winters last lifetimes, but it feels like it sometimes, especially when there aren't breaks between all the snow. It's lovely at first--the first snow right around October, or late November. Generally it blankets the towns from then until March. That's not what it's been like recently. There is no snow on the ground--it's muddy, and growing green with all the rain we've been getting and the newly melted snow. But it won't be that way forever. C'est la vie. Not quite sure what the point of this is, just needed to get it out of my head and onto something a little more permanent than a sheet of paper.
