Born in Solihull hospital on December 8th, 1986. It wasnt long until I would generate a strong passion and interest for music. My first memories of songs that I would have listened to as a child were that of rock group Rainbow. My parents, were very open minded, and had a whole range of albums and EPs in vinyl, from Motown to Eric Clapton. I started learning Recorder at the age of 8, as most people do, and then progressed to Piano lessons. The piano lessons would be short lived because I didnt enjoy waking up at 9am on a Saturday morning (still dont). By the time I was 9, I was quite hooked on "old rock," such as the Shadows, Deep Purple, and again Rainbow. I somewhat remember having Alice Cooper introduced to me on cassette (I remember some compilation of Rock Anthems, which i distinctively remember that Alice Coopers Poison was the last track on the album).

I then left rock music for about 2 years, to listen to the hype of 'pop music,' where I collected a few albums which the mates around me listened to, I think each album gave me about 10 minutes worth of enjoyment. It was here where I knew that pop music was s**t. I was bought my first keyboard at 13, where I only used it for casual use (didnt like keyboards). This is about the same time my parents bought S&M the album released by Metallica with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra in 1999. This album has remained in my possession for nearly 7 years, and still remains one of my favorite best of albums ever, regardless of banter that I have had against Metallica in recent times.

When I got to 14, I was moving into the Nu Metal genre, with embarrassingly bands such as Limp Bizkit, Korn, Slipknot, and Linkin Park. At 15, I joined a guitarist and a drummer as bassist in; mainly a ******** band, our music wasnt that far more sethisticated than most of Nirvanas playlist. This was when I was bought my first bass, where I havent stopped playing since. I became mates with the drummer through GCSE music classes at school, which were ******** hilarious: Chow Mein fights, Turning up the organ so it rocked the entire music department etc.

Thanks to the drummer of the band, I was introduced to Iron Maiden. We both saw them in December 2003, during the Dance of Death world tour, in the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.

I left the band, but rejoined 2 years later, with the same guitarist and drummer, and also a new guitarist wanted to make music, and eventually end up on a stage performing in front of people that werent our parents or pets. We practiced in this guys loft and produced an EP in 2004. Our first gig was in October of 2004. The new guitarist that had pretty much formed this new band, was heavily into bands such as Children of Bodom, In Flames, and Arch Enemy. He wanted our band to sound somewhat like that. In my opinion we failed. It did however give me an insight into whats known as the Metal underground.

I was fired as bassist in January 2005 in a 'conflict of interests.' I enjoyed my time as member of that band, regardless of how alienated I felt during my time in the band. In July 2005, I joined ultimate metal.com to become one of the elitest bastards of the Children of Bodom forums. This website has introduced me to alot of unknown (to me) bands, which I enjoy alot. I met a few absolute legends at Bloodstock 2006, and I also intend to meet alot more people in the future. I was introduced to Ensiferum and Turisas no more than a month or two before I was to see them at Bloodstock.

I return to gaia online, with the same expectations as I did with Ultimate metal, to be introduced to bands that im likely to enjoy. There have been a few bands, that I havent been keen on in the last year or so, but on the other hand, some of the others have been absolutely timeless. It was my intention to go to Ragnarok in Scotland this year, but because of a few birthdays that I need to go to, I wont be there this year. I have been looking at the possibility of going to Wacken 2007, which there is about a 95% possibility that ill be there. I will also be at Lordis UK tour in Birmingham (27th October 2006), cant wait for Turisas. Hope to meet some of you guys soon, this beers for you.
