He found Bellator as a squirtle when he was 8 over by the Vermillion ocean , he was fighting over a forgotten poffin with a Kingsler, Coco frantically yelled and ran towards them scaring off the kingsler while the hungry squirtle nawed at the poffin. Coco with some left over poffin he tried to feed his pikachu, handed it to the hungry guy. Bellator looked up at Coco not used to such kindness, jumped on coco's shoulder. Coco was outweighed and fell over. he picked the strangely heavy squirtle up taking him home to treat him well. Bellator is now a fully grown Blastoise, and Coco's protector. He looks over Coco as if he was his child, happy to play and or battle in order to keep him well and bright, he trained his hardest just to become the soldier coco needed.
Chu:
When Coco was 5 he used to travel a lot with his father, one day while taking a trip to Viridian City Coco wandered off from his fathers watchful eye. he laughed and stumbled all the way into Viridian forest while in there he noticed something moving in the tall grass, he ran up too it tripped and headbutted it. When he sat up a weedle was squirming and crying out, Coco tried to comfort it the best he could. A shadow appeared over him of a very big pokemon, he turned back to find a very angry beedrill. Coco ran as fast as he could but the beedrill was way to fast and cut off , Coco shut his eyes and rolled up waiting to be slain, after a few seconds when nothing happened he opened his eyes to find the beedrill fried and smoking he looked to the side and found a pichu it run up and hugged him. quickly Coco hugged his savior tightly, the pichu not used to this affection took it as a threat and shocked Coco with all his might. This sparked their new friendship.Chu is now a Raichu, and Coco's first pokemon, he fights hard for his life long friend to protect him.
Fable:
3 years after the Viridian forest incident and after Coco caught his second pokemon his father wanted to make sure his son was able to protect himself from any other wild pokemon attacks so they made their way to mt.moon. Once there he said Coco must make it through the cave alone Coco took the task not willing to give up...unknowing that with just a pikachu and a squirtle this may be hard, he made his way inside the cave his father in tears over how big his boy is getting. After the whole time running from Zubat, the team managed to give them a slip while in the cave Coco saw a pink fluff dancing about. He grabbed up his stuff and ran to it , pikachu and squirtle on his sides when he got close enough he saw it was a clefairy! Coco has only heard stories! these were a really rare pokemon. he sent out Chu it used growl in efforts to scare off pikachu, this only caused him a laugh attack, Bellator a bit unpatient, and unsure of coco's safety used bubble as soon as it hit the giggly clefairy, it passed out. Coco a bit confused as to how Bellator did that,didn't ask questions and quickly threw his pokeball, watching it shake and then capture. He smiled and felt accomplished naming his new found clefairy, Fable due to all the stories of clefairy and this was the first he has ever seen. Clefairy is now a Clefable, working his hardest to become Coco's favorite, the two have bonded fairly fast.
Nox:
Coco found a mysterious egg abandoned in the mountains, though he has heard tales of beasts in the mountains his instinct took over and he decided to take and nurture it. while walking to the Lt.Surges gym they egg began to shake, Coco surprised set it down and watched the egg start to crack, it was a little larvitar. Coco grabbed and hugged his new member up, smothering it with affection. Now they are all headed to a new region and the larvitar grew up into a fierce Tyranitar, he is often bullied by Bellator due to Bellator just looking out for the safety of Coco, which just about sends Nox into a fit which then Coco hugs him in order to stop the demolishing of rivers and mountains.
Lelu:
While Coco and the gang were having a picnic in unova a shy little reuniclus watched from the trees, wanting and willing to make friends. out of nowhere Sol up and grabbed him carrying the squirming pokemon to the picnic. He sensed the complicated emotions of the reuniclus, offering him some food. The small little reuniclus looked around at all the pokemon, trembling he fainted on the spot. when he awoke he woke to a blastoise in his face, speechless he trembled back against Coco. He was weak willed and gave in being captured by coco. His name is now Lelu and he is the newest edition to the team and is still very fragile, he fears ALL the other members.
Virtue:
This pokemon knew Coco since he was a child, he was the mail carrier dragonite.
When he was on break he would often fly over to Coco's and give him rides on his back, he would also tease him and loved to play hide and go seek. One day when he went over to Coco's on his 10th birthday, right when Coco was getting ready to head out. Dragonite was confused as to why Coco wasn't playing with him, he followed him for a while until he was explained to that the journey had become and that Coco planned to be the best. This upset dragonite and Coco offered up to capture him, the hesitant dragonite agreed so he could be with his best friend. This brave, courageous friend is named Virtue, he enjoys battling and relaxing, he wants to always be by Coco's side.
