Chapter 1 Part 1
Maru lay in the corner of the prison cell, dazed and confused at what had happend during the battle. The shackled around her legs made her ankles ache. The wound on her side was sticky with the oozing blood. She knew she was losing far to much blood. It made her dissy and she became more and more faint by the second.
I'm going to die her she thought to herself. It pained her to think this, but i was going to happen.
Suddenly the gate of her cell opend and a tall gaurd in copper armor came to brake her shackles loose. He smashed them with a iron hammer, occasionally missing and hitting Maru's leg or foot instead. Her ankles had to be broken by the time he had removed the shakles. Realizing that she could no long walk, he grabbed her arm and dragged her through a castle passage that led to the Main hall and Dining Room of the King and Queen. The guard threw her down at the feet of the King. He looked down at her, smirking. He held his jeweled sword above her throat. Maru couldn't resist, she couldn't move at all. She was hopelessly trapped.
In a casual voice the King spoke. "It appears you are too powerful among us, the living. At your very least, go in piece."
Maru cringed and let out a weak "no", but the King just smiled.
"as you wish then..."
He recoiled his sword and quickly stabbed it into her lung. He drew it back and watched her suffer.
Maru screamed, her blood was all rushing and she couldn't focus anymore. Her brain was slowly imploding. She wouldn't be breathing for much longer.
The King crouched down beside, "There, there, is this not what you wanted?"
She was drowning inside her own body. Helplessly dieing. When suddenly, it all stopped. A blinding light filled her eyes. A shallow, but comforting voice spoke to her,
"You have been saved again my dear." "Wait, what? I just died, Again..?"
"Well in that life and others it appears... But you have, options.." "Options??"
"Return to the soil from where you came, or live a new life upon different soil." "I would most certainly want to live again."
"Well, that has seemed to be your answer for quite some time, but anyways, be warned. It will not be the same in your new life." "Not the same??"
