omg finals are next week! oh no! im gonna fail! xO
btw im going out with a guy named Miles. awesome i know. heart hes very nice too me but hes a BIT quiet.. to me at least xD
and this is a story i did NOT write. its sad...
It starts off a girl at 5th grade meeting a boy and they start going out.
Starts here! :
CHAPTER ONE/introduction:
Winter break has put it's self to rest, and school was back. Marsten High School was a school where everyone has at least one talent, You would either see someone walking around in dance tight's, a group of kid's singing a pretty melody, orchestra and band kid's practicing a simple yet intricate tune or somebody with an instrument strapped to their back. There are many instrument's to learn at Marsten, We also have one of the best choir's and dance team's in the district. My talent was playing the Piano, Cello, Flute and dancing. I have been playing the piano ever since I was about 5, When I started elementary school I started playing the Cello, In middle school I learned how to play the flute and I just started dance classes this year. This was my second year at Marsten, and I love it here, But there's something missing in my life... Or someone. It was someone I loved alot, but let's turn back time for one day. You see I have known Jake since I was in 5th grade, We were the best of friend's. So here is my, Charmaine Lyn's, Story.
Mom: Charmaine lyn, Your going to love your last year of Elementary School. I promise.
Charmaine: I know Mom, I smiled.
I stepped in my mom's car and drove off to the first day, of my last year of Elementary. I gazed outside the window, Fall for sure. Orange leaves being brushed to the side, Tree's growing bare, and School. When we finally reached our destined spot which was school I gave my mom a kiss goodbye.
Sharlene: Hi Charmaine! There's a new guy and he is cute!
Charmaine: Is he in our clas? Hehe
Sharlene: YES!!
I wasn't into guy's as much as Sharlene was. I mean I did have a crush on a cute boy like every girl, But Sharlene had a new crush every week. She alway's thought she was in "Love", But it was just a crush. I acted like I was listening to Sharlene, but truth is this "New guy" did sound intresting to me. She snapped in front of my face to get my attention.
Sharlene: Charmaine, Let's go talk to him!
Charmaine: NO SHARLENE! I don't want him to think I'm a freak and Beside's he probably want's to adapt first.
Before I knew it Sharlene was walking toward's the new kid. I ran after her to make sure she didn't make a fool out of herself.
Sharlene: Hey I'm Sharlene! She said while reaching her hand out for a handshake.
Jake: Uhhh.. Jake He replied Shaking her hand in return.
I could tell he was pretty confused, and he was REALLY cute! I wanted to tell him my name too but all of a sudden my voice wouldn't come out and I felt my hear beat fast.
Sharlene: Oh, And this is Charmaine.
Jake: Hi Charmaine! he said smiling.
Charmaine: Hey, You have a really cute smile.
Jake: hah thank's shorty.
Charmaine: HEY! who you callin' Shorty! I said smiling on my tip-toe's
He stood up and He was taller then me, I had to look up just to see him. I soon lost balance on my tip-toe's and fell on him, But he catched me. I looked up to him and smiled, and at that moment he catched me he said: "Gottcha shorty".
CHAPTER TWO:
I looked at him blushing, And thought to myself "OH MY GOSH he's so cute!", He smiled at me while i was still in his arm's, I felt pretty stupid just standing there in his arm's so I walked a few step's back so he would let go.
Charmaine: Thank's I said smiling, but with an embarrased look.
Jake: No problem Shorty.
I rolled my eye's at him and he laughed.
Sharlene: Ooo Someone has a new crush!
She said tugging on my arm. I just looked at her with a annoyed look and She pulled me away and waved good-bye to Jake. I didn't speak to her, I just thought about Jake, Maybe it was time I got a new crush. The bell rang and the everyone was excited to go to class, Alot of the kindergartener's and first grader's were very enthusiastic to get to class. The little kid's were so cute, I watched them all run to class. Until Sharlene said "Hey! I got an idea", After she said that she pushed me a step ahead of her and whispered "Walk with Jake" and she smiled. I didn't know what to do so I just took her advice and walked next to Jake and started a convorsation.
Charmaine: Hey Jake!
Jake: Wassup Shorty. He said smiling at me.
Charmaine: Wassup Tally, I said with a "Tough" but sarcastic voice.
Jake: Haha. So where's our class?
Charmaine: It's kind of far from here, All the 5th grade classes are near the back of the school.
Jake: Aiight cool, That give's me time to talk to you right?
Charmaine: Haha yea.
Jake: So, Is this school alright?
Charmaine: Well I can't really say since this is the only school I've been to beside's Jump Start and Preschool.
Jake: Jump Start? That shiz is whack.
Charmaine: Yea, it's pretty pointless.
Jake: Hah, So I know this is a pretty corny question but what are your hobbie's?
Charmaine: Haha, yea that's pretty corny, But my hobbie's are Playing the piano I guess.
Jake: Yea, that's pretty Hot. He said smiling at me.
Charmaine: What? I said confused.
Jake: Hah just messin' Shorty.
Charmaine: Hah k.
Jake: Not to sound like every other guy that be tryin' to hook up with a girl, but Your really cute.
Charmaine: Thanks. I said smiling.
I pointed at the next row of classes and said "That's where our class is".
Jake: Aw, Well it was nice gettin' to know you.
Charmaine: You too.
We walked into the class and I saw alot of kid's I knew from the other year's in Elementary. They waved, & Our teacher Mrs. Lewis said to grab a desk, and choose it well because that's where we will most likely be sitting the whole year.
Jake: Aye Shorty since I really don't know anyone in this class sept' you and Sharlene. Want to sit next to me?
"He is so cute!" I thought to myself and replied "Sure".
We took our seat's near the back of the room since those were some of the only seat's left, and our teacher said a couple of class rule's, and a bit about herself. I could tell Jake was bored, And who could blame him? Mrs. Lewis was one of the most boring teacher's on campus. Mrs. Lewis made everyone in the class share a bit of themselve's, But me and Jake didn't pay much attention. Hour's passed and it was finally lunch time, I walked with Jake to Lunch and we even sat next to each other.
Jake: Damn the food here look's gross.
Charmaine: Haha yea..
Jake: Aye shorty.
Charmaine: Hm?
Jake: I know I just met you and all, but I got a question I wanna ask you, and I'm not just askin' cause I'm a playa or anythin' like that.
I looked at him confused, But I had an idea of what he might ask. I felt my heart beat faster.
Charmaine: Ok?
Jake: Will you go out with me? You can say no if you want, cause' I know we just met and all and were still young and you barely even know me ------
Charmaine: Sure I'll go out with you. I interuppted.
Jake: Hah good. He said smiling at me.
I smiled back and leaned on his shoulder, even though that was probably moving a bit fast.
Sharlene: OH MY GOSH! I HEARD THE WHOLE THING!! HOW CUTE!
We both turned around and saw Sharlene with a big smile on her face. I laughed and so did he. The bell rang and we walked back to class together holding hand's of course. I felt warm and happy inside. I guess he was my First Love.

CHAPTER THREE FROM CHARMAINE'S POINT OF VIEW:
Life couldn't be any better for me and Jake, were both 14 and in the 8th grade. Yes we are still together. Alot of people wonder how we have stayed together so long, at such a young age. Alot of people say it's Puppy Love, But it's not. I really do Love Jake. Were two crazy kid's in Love, So what if were just discovering the bad and good thing's of life and middle & high school? We'll discover it all together. It's been a month since I've seen Jake, He went to New York for winter break, and it's just 2 day's till Christmas Eve. The sad thing is, He doesn't come back till January 5th.
*Ring, Ring*
Charmaine: Hello?
Jake: Hey babygirl
Charmaine: Hey jake! I miss you...
Jake: Damn I know I miss you too Shorty.
Charmaine: How's New York?
Jake: I hate it here.
Charmaine: Why? It's probably beautiful there at Christmas time.
Jake: Not as beautiful as you...
I smiled I didn't know what to say next.
Jake: So how's it there?
Charmaine: Boring and Misrable, I miss being in your arm's.
Jake: I miss holding you in my arm's...
Charmaine: Ay well I got to go, my mom would be mad as hell if I ride up the bill talking to you long distance... Sorry
Jake: Hah it's okay Shorty, I love you, Bye.
Charmaine: Love you too.
After I hung up the phone I grabbed my pillow and started to cry... I miss him so much. I wonder what he's doing right now...
CHAPTER THREE FROM JAKE'S POINT OF VIEW:
I looked out the hotel window, the edge's were covered with snow I drew a heart in the fog on the window and thought about Charmaine. I couldn't stand not being with her. I picked up my cell phone that was sitting on the table and dialed her number.
*Ring, Ring*
When she finally answered I smiled I was so happy to hear her voice again.
Charmaine: Hello?
Jake: Hey babygirl
Charmaine: Hey jake! I miss you...
Jake: Damn I know I miss you too Shorty.
Charmaine: How's New York?
Jake: I hate it here.
Charmaine: Why? It's probably beautiful there at Christmas time.
Jake: Not as beautiful as you...
Jake: So how's it there?
Charmaine: Boring and Misrable, I miss being in your arm's.
I hated to hear her so sad, I felt tear's come out of my eye's which was pretty gay...

When I hung up I didn't even know what to do. I seriously needed to see Charmaine again, I wonder what she's doing right now... My dad walked into our hotel room.
Jake: Where's mom & Allyssa?
Dad: Shopping, What else?
Jake: Hah.. Dad can we talk?
Dad: Sure Jake, What's on your mind?
Jake: Charmaine...
Dad: Oh I see, you feel like someone ripped out your heart right?
Jake: Yea, I can't stand not being with her...
Dad: Then go see her.
Jake: She's all the way in LA dad.
I said to him with a stupid look.
Dad: Then go back to LA.
Jake: What??
Dad: If you Love her so much, Which I know you do, then go back to LA.
Jake: What about you, mom & Allyssa?
Dad: We'll spend the rest of our vacation here.
Jake: What about my plane ticket?
Dad: I'll get you one/
Jake: Are you for real dad?
Dad: Does it look like I'm For real?
He looked at me with a serious look.
Jake: Yea...
Dad: Then yea. You love Charmaine, So go back and spend the holiday's with her.
Jake: Where will I stay?
Dad: Your auntie Julie.
Jake: HAHA AIGHT COOL!
I was so happy that I was going to get to see Charmaine again!
Dad: Alright I'll go talk to your mom, you should be out of here by tomorrow.
Jake: OH MY GOD I GOT TO GET HER A CHRISTMAS PRESENT! s**t i'll pack up when I get back, Thank's dad!
I ran to find a taxi to buy Charmaine's gift, I wanted to suprise her.
CHAPTER FOUR (From Jake's point of view):
I looked almost all over the store's of New York city to find Charmaine the perfect gift, I was about to give up hope and tell her I'd make it up to her by buying her something 10 time's better. I walked with my hand's in my pocket, feeling guilty that I was going to go back to LA empty handed, And on Christmas. I passed by a little shop called Precious Moment's Engraved I went to look in the window for a while and saw a golden locket the shape of a heart with a rose on the front and I remembered one of the time's when Charmaine and I got in a argument and I pushed her onto the wall's of one of building's at school and the locket that she wore around her neck snapped off, and till that day I haven't seen her where that locket. I hated myself for hurting her like that, The next day after I did that to her I apologized greatly, She said she forgave me but I knew she was dying inside. I walked into the shop and I was sure that I was going to buy her that locket. One of the shop employee's greeted me.
Employee: Hello Sir, Looking for anything specific?
Jake: Umm, Yea I saw that locket in the window and I was wondering about the price?
Employee: It's on a Christmas sale for 150$
Jake: How much is it to get it engraved?
Employee: It depend's on how much character's you would like.
Employee: Fill out one of these form's and I'll tell you your price range.
I took the form that she handed me and filled it out, I wanted it to say "Shorty, I love you and I'm sorry about last year, I love you so much." I know it was simple, but I didn't want to be to intricate. I handed the lady back the form and she read it for a minute and smiled.
Employee: Young Love huh?
I just smiled at her.
Employee: Ok the engravement and the locket will cost about 160$.
Jake: Ok great, How long will it take?
Employee: About an hour.
Jake: That's perfect, Thank you!
I walked out of the store to find a taxi and get back to the hotel and pack, I was filled with joy on the inside and sat and looked outside of the taxi window smiling.
Taxi Driver: Who's the girl?
Jake: Someone who I love, and want to spend the rest of my life with.
Taxi Driver: Your young kid, No effence but you don't know what you want in life yet.
Jake: This I know.
Taxi Driver: Ok kid, I'm just saying.
When I finally got to the hotel I packed up as fast as I can, I older sister Allyssa watching me and I was getting pretty annoyed.
Jake: What Allyssa?
Allyssa: Nothin', It's just so cute that my little brother is in love.
Jake: I've been in Love and your just now noticing.
Allyssa: Pretty much.
Jake: Damn I can't stop thinking about her.
Allyssa: How Cute! Ugh, your so lucky I mean I'm already a sophmore in High School and I still haven't found the right person yet.
Jake: HAH sucks for you!
Allyssa: Jake your such a f**.
Allyssa walked out of the room, She was pretty upset but I didn't really care. I was just so happy to see Charmaine. I left an hour later to pick up her present and then went to bed. The next morning I woke up earlier then I usually do. I woke up my parent's. I was so excited!
Dad: Jake it's 5 in the moring, Your flight is at 8.
Jake: I know dad, I know. Merry Christmas Eve by the way!
Dad: Merry Christmas eve to you to Jake.
Mom: What your father said.
My mom said in a sleepy voice.
Jake: C'MON GUY'S WAKE UP!
They just went back to sleep, I guess I was just so happy that I was going to see Charmaine again. I lay in my bed till 7 thinking about Charmaine.
Jake: AYE Mom, Dad! It's 7 wake up!
They got up and got ready and saw that I was ready.
Dad: Jake, Your too in love. He said sarcasticly
Jake: I know dad, Damn I love this feeling.
We arrived at the airport at about 7:50 and my parent's and Allyssa walked me to my gate. My mom hugged me and said "Good Luck", My dad hugged me too then looked at me with his hand on my shoulder and said, "You really love her, and I wish you both the best. Merry Christmas son, And a happy New year, Good Luck. I smiled at him. I saw Allyssa roll her eye's behind them and said,
Jake: No Hug for Jakey?
She rolled her eye's and hugged me.
Allyssa: Good luck with love.
Jake: Thank's Allyssa, You too. Hah.
Allyssa: Your still a f**.
Dad: Bye son, Love you.
Mom: Bye Jakey, Love you.
My parent's and sister waved goodbye, I waved goodbye back and held Charmaine's gift in my hand. My plaine took off at 8:30 and I looked out the window and let my mind drift.
When I finally landed in LA I called my Aunt to ask her to give me a ride to my girl's place. When she finally came, She hugged me and gave me that "Aw how cute little Jakey is in love" look. I walked in the car and she was still looking at me like that.
Aunt: So Jakey who's the girl?
Jake: It's the same girl I have been with for 4 year's...
Aunt: HOW CUTE! Jakey's in love.
Jake: Can you give me a lift to her house tonight? around 8?
Aunt: Sure Jakey.
When I got to My Aunt's house I turned off my phone so Charmaine wouldn't call and find out I was back in LA, Since I wanted to suprise her. I went on the computer and logged on to AIM (aol Instant Messanger) I looked at my buddy list for a minute and got a Instant Message from Charmaine:
Polaroid Panda06: HEY BABE! Why is your phone off? MERRY CHRISTMAS!
ILoVeMy SHORTY: HEY SHORTY! MERRY CHRISTMAS TOO! and sorry my phone died =(
Polaroid Panda06: =(
ILoVeMy SHORTY: sorry I love you.
Polaroid Panda06: I love you too =)
ILoVeMy SHORTY: hmm so wassup?
Polaroid Panda06: Nothing... I need to talk to you.

I grabbed her present and jumped in the car in excitement. I was smiling almost the whole time. We arrived at Charmaine's house and I felt my heart beat faster and faster.
Aunt: Goodluck Jakey!
Jake: Thank's bye.
I stood on her front lawn since her window was on the front of the house. I dialed her number on my cell and watched her answer it.
Charmaine: Hello?
Jake: Hey Shorty.
Charmaine: What's with your area code?
Jake: I love you, Look outside.
Charmaine: What?
She turned around and I waved at her. She smiled and ran down stairs. She unlocked her door and she jumped into my arm's, I hugged her tightly.
Jake: Ahh It feel's so good to hold you in my arm's again.
I pulled her away slightly and kissed her on the forehead.
Charmaine: I missed you so much! Why are you back?
Jake: My parent's let me come back alone to see you!
Charmaine: Oh that's great but...
Jake: What's wrong?
She looked at her driveway and saw a UHAUL truck. I looked at her and said,
Jake: Your moving?
& She nodded Sadly...
Chapter 5 (Still Jake's point of view) :
Jake: ...Where are you moving?
Charmaine: Ohio...
Jake: No! Charmaine, You can't move... I love you.
Charmaine: I'm sorry, but it's so I can pursue my music, and there's a school there that most college's are looking at. Plus the school has some of the best music program's.
Jake: So your going to choose to go to choose to do some whack music and go to a school where everybody has to be talented, instead of us?
Charmaine: Jake I'm sorry, I thought alot about this...
Jake: If you thought about it you wouldn't leave.
I walked away from her and headed down the sidewalk.
Charmaine: JAKE PLEASE WAIT!
Jake: What Charmaine? What?!
Charmaine: I love you.. It's just ---
Jake: I Don't want to hear all this crap Charmaine. Go ahead pursue music! You obviously don't need me.
Charmaine: I talked to my parent's about this Jake, they're forcing me to go. They don't want me to have no life and end up stupid.
Charmaine fell to the floor crying. I couldn't believe this, I mean I didn't want her to go, but I didn't want to hurt her. I ran to her and helped her up and held her in my arm's tightly while she wept.
Jake: Charmaine, I'm sorry. I know how much music mean's to you but were so young. Were not even in High School yet, and your just going to leave me like that. It's hard for me to understand, but if it's for you, I don't need to understand. I just want you to be happy Shorty. Please stop crying. I love you. I tilted her head up whiped her tear's and gently kissed her.
Charmaine: I love you too Jake. I don't want to go if it mean's not seeing you anymore.
Jake: It's ok Shorty, we'll work something out.
Jake: But here I got you a Christmas gift.
I handed her the small wrapped gift. She slowly un-wrapped it and opened the box with the locket opened. It had a picture of Me & Her being goofy, It also has what I had engraved. I saw her smile when she read it and I smiled back at her.
Charmaine: Jake! Thank you so much, I love you.
Jake: No problem Shorty, I love you too.
LATER THAT NIGHT.
After I got back to my Aunt's house I logged onto AIM to see if Charmaine was on.

ILoVeMy SHORTY: Kinda, But I just want you to be happy =)

Truth is, I wasn't all that "OK" about Charmaine moving to some whack school in Ohio, But I just want her to be happy. It was almost New year, and I made the day's I had with Charmaine last. She was going to leave on January 15th. I tried to spend all the time I had with her. I held her as long as I could, I talked to her as long as I could. I guess I made myself forget that she was leaving, just so I could be happy, Selfish Huh?
CHAPTER SIX (Charmaine's point of view) :
I looked at my empty room, the wall paper was torn at the edge's and the floor was empty. Tomorrow was my last day in LA. I was going to miss Jake more then anything. I saw some of my boxes in the corner of my room, I walked over to the boxes and opened one up like a Christmas present. Inside was alot of me and Jake's memorie's I pulled out one of our photo strip's from the mall, I smiled and felt a tear drop. We were only in 6th grade in this picture. We looked younger, but happy. We never saw something like this comming. It sort of just slammed itself in our face's.
*Ring, Ring*
Charmaine: Hello?
Jake: Hey Shorty, can we go somewhere today?
Charmaine: Yea of course...
I whiped my tear's away and sniffled.
Jake: Are you ok Babygirl?
Charmaine: Yea, I'm fine.
Jake: You sure?
Charmaine: Yea...
Jake: No your not.
Charmaine: Jake, I'm fine.
Jake: Charmaine, No your not. If you were okay then you'd sound more happy.
Jake: Now, what's bugging you?
Charmaine: It's nothing, Don't worry about it.
Jake: No, I have to worry about it.
Charmaine: No you don't. It's not your life Jake.
Jake: ...What's has got into you Charmaine?
Charmaine: Nothing Jake, I told you already. IT'S NOTHING.
Jake: Alright sorry then.
Charmaine: it's ok.
Jake: You know I love you Shorty.
I didn't respond, It's like some strange thing over powered me and did not allow me to tell him I love him back... Was it because I didn't love him back?
Jake: Shorty?
Charmaine: Yea?
Jake: Nothin', So what's up?
Charmaine: Umm, Not much. Let's just meet up right away... Please.
Jake: Alright, You sound down... -----
Charmaine: Look Jake, Just don't worry about me. I interrupted.
Jake: Sorry, I'll meet you at the park okay?
Charmaine: Yea ok.
Jake: Love ya.
I just hung up, I just wasn't in the mood. I took my jacket off of the hook in my room and walked to the park where Jake and I used to go all the time. It was one of our favorite places, One reason was because it was close to both of our houses. Second was because it was alway's "Alive" there, It made the sad time's dissapear. It was one of the most beautiful places to me. I just walked alone on the sidewalk, Nothing to hear but my own foot step's. I looked up when the park was finally visible enough. I saw Jake there with his hand's in his pocket looking up at the clear blue sky. I took one deep breath and he turned around and saw me. He came up to me and hugged me, I hugged back. I looked out at the park, Kid's playing, Parent's laughing while they watched, Happy couple's never letting go of each other...
Jake: Hey Shorty.
Charmaine: Jake...
Jake: Yea?
Charmaine: I don't want to move.
Jake: I don't want you to move either.
Charmaine: Umm... I hate to say this but.
Jake: Hate to say what??
Charmaine: Please let me finish...
Charmaine: I hate to say this but, I don't think that it's best if we stay together since I'm going to Ohio... You know?
Jake: No. No Charmaine, I don't know. I love you, and you love me. Why does it matter where you go?
Charmaine: Because Jake. If we are not together then...
Jake: Then what?
Charmaine: We won't hurt so much inside, And maybe you can meet someone else.
Jake: Shorty, I don't want to meet someone else, I knew you were the one for me ever since the day I caught you in Fifth grade.
Charmaine: ...I know Jake, I love you..
I started to cry as I stared deep into his eye's that looked like they were about to let out tear's as well.
Jake: Then why do we gotta' break up?
Charmaine: Because Jake... I don't want to hurt inside.
Jake: Breaking up won't fix anything...
Charmaine: It might, Just please Jake...
I cryed and looked at the sorrow in his eye's.
Jake: Alright Charmaine, if that's what you want.
Charmaine: I'm sorry Jake.
I hugged him tightly for the last time and he hugged me back.
Charmaine: I have to go finish packing, Bye Jake...
Jake: Aiight, Bye Shorty...
Charmaine: See you tomorrow?
Jake: Yea whatever.
He was still crying a bit, but he didn't look directly at me. He just acted like he didn't care. I walked all the way home crying, I couldn't believe that what I did really happened...
CHAPTER SEVEN (Charmaine's point of view) :
Note: This part/chapter is short, But there's something that you find out, that's like OMG.
As I walked home from the park I let my tear's fall and splash on the sidewalk. Jake is probably very frustrated with me. I was going to miss him even if he hated me. While I walked I passed a couple they were about 16 year's old, they were a few year's older then Jake and I. The couple was sitting down on a bench, The girl rested her head on the boy's shoulder and both their hand's rested on each other's. I wanted me and Jake to be like that again... But it was too late. Charmaine: Sharlene? I said trying hard to sound like I wasn't crying, but I couldn't help it...
Sharlene: Charmaine what's wrong??
Charmaine: Can I come over?
Sharlene: Of course hun.
Charmaine: Okay thank's bye.
Sharlene: Bye Charmaine.
I turned left and walked to Sharlene's house, I tryed drying most of my tear's.
*Ding, Dong*
Sharlene opened the door and saw that my eye's were red and puffy from crying, so she hugged me.
Sharlene: Aww Charmaine are you Okay? What happened?
Charmaine: It's Jake, I broke up with him.
Sharlene: Why would you break up with Jake????
Charmaine: Because Sharlene, Once I'm in Ohio I don't want him to miss me and I don't want to miss him.. So I figured.
Sharlene: Oh, I see. Come in, We'll talk about this upstair's.
We walked upstair's and entered Sharlene's room.
Sharlene: You know, Breaking up with him will just make thing's worse.
"Sharlene was supposed to help me, Not say what Jake said" I thought in my head.
Charmaine: ...It might.
Sharlene: Well, if that is what you wanted & You think you can live with what you did then...
Charmaine: That's the whole thing Sharlene, I don't know if I can live with it.
Sharlene: Then why'd you do it?
Charmaine: BECAUSE SHARLENE.
Sharlene: Because what?
Charmaine: Because... I'm Pregnant...
Sharlene: Oh my god Charmaine.
I started crying.
Sharlene: Do your parent's know?
I nodded.
Charmaine: That's why they're making me move... I ruined my life Sharlene.

Chapter eight: [charmaine's point of view]
Dear diary,
Today is my last day in LA. It's 7 am and I've been doing alot of thinking about my life, You know like the past, present and future. Since I know for sure I will be the only one reading this for a long time or a while, I'm really going to express myself. Well I'm still really mad at myself for not being smart, Because now I'm pregnant at the age of 14. I know I'm not like those other teenage girl's, because when it happened... I just I don't know I thought it felt right, I mean I knew Jake for a long time... I'm so stupid, I hate myself. My parent's hate me too, that's why they're sending me to Ohio while they stay here. They want me to live my life alone. They said if I think I can handle a kid, I can handle life. They were so mad, I'm lucky to be here right now. I just want you to know this diary, I still love Jake. Very much, And I do want my kid to have a father, But Jake's to young... I don't want to ruin another life, I already ruined mines. I mean how would Jake feel? That he got me pregnant? I don't think he'll feel so happy about it. Niether would his parent's, Which is why my parent's agreed they wouldn't tell Jake's parent's. I hope that when I go to Ohio and live with my Aunt Stacy that Me, Her and My baby will have a fresh start. A good one. Jake will move on... So will my baby, It won't miss Jake, since Jake won't be around.

I walked down the stair's for the last time with my diary in my hand. My mom didn't look at me, I saw the frustration in her eye's.
Charmaine: Mom, I really am Sorry.
Mom: Charmaine you ruined your life, Don't say sorry to me... Say sorry to yourself.
Charmaine: I just want to say bye to Jake before we leave...
Mom: Go ahead.
Charmaine: Thank you mom.
I walked to Jake's house for the last time... Looking around the places I used to walk for the last time. This time I didn't want to cry, I wanted to stay strong... For Jake.

Jake's Mom: Charmaine! Good to see you.
Charmaine: You too... Is Jake home?
Jake's Mom: Yea one sec. --- JAKE!! Charmaine's Here!
I saw him walk down the stair's looking at me with a sad, But angry look.
Jake: What...
Charmaine: Can we talk?
Jake: Yea whatever...
He stepped out of the house and we walked near the park.
Charmaine: Jake... I'll really miss you.
Jake: Yea, I guess I'll miss you...
Charmaine: I...I love you still.
Jake: Then why'd you break up with me?
Charmaine: Because Jake, I don't want you to hurt.
Jake: I'll hurt without you...
My eye's watered.
Jake: Look don't cry Charmaine..
Charmaine: I don't want to leave.
Jake: Then stay with me... We'll work this out.
Charmaine: There's something that we can't work out Jake.
Jake: Well what is it, There's nothing we can't work out together Charmaine.
Charmaine: It's Un-fixable.
Jake: Love will fix it. I love you Charmaine.
Charmaine: Love can't fix this Jake.
Jake: Tell me what it is and we'll work it out, One way or another.
I shook my head and watched the tear's fall. Jake held my two hand's and watched me.
Jake: Shorty... I love you, There's nothing I won't do for you.
Charmaine: Will you take care of another human life?
I finally said to him with so much tear's that everything seemed blurry.
Jake: What are you talking about Charmaine???
Charmaine: Don't ******** with me Jake you know what I'm talking about.
He starred at me with a scarred, blank look.
Jake: Shorty...
Charmaine: YES JAKE A BABY. I'M PREGNANT.
Jake: No, Charmaine... You can't ----
Charmaine: I told you it's not fixable.
Jake: Charmaine am I the dad?...
Charmaine: YES JAKE. YOUR THE DAD.
Jake put his hand on his head and looked up with his eye's closed and whispered "Oh my god"
Jake: Shorty I...
Charmaine: I have to go.
Jake: Charmaine Wait!
I turned around and looked at his troubled face.
Charmaine: Look Jake, It's ok. I'll take care of the baby, It's my fault.
He didn't respond, But I saw tear's in his eye's. He came up and hugged me and kissed my forehead.
Jake: I'm sorry.
Charmaine: I have to go... My plane leave's soon.
I walked away and didn't turn back...
My mom and dad drove me to the airport, they were still very mad but they still said goodbye.
Mom: Bye Charmaine, Take care of your kid.
Charmaine: I will mom... I love you.
Mom: Love you too.
Dad: Goodluck honey, I raised you all these year's and never thought I'd lose you this fast...
I started crying.
Charmaine: Love you dad...
I waved goodbye one last time and turned around and boarded my plane...
When the plane launched I did start crying again... Thinking about Jake and my friend's and family. I looked out at the cloud's and sobbed. When my plane arrived in Ohio I thought to myself "This my new life."
Chapter nine [Charmaine's point of view].
I've been in Ohio for about 1 week now. I can't complain my Aunt try's to make it feel as much as home as possible, She's the only one who seemed to care. Although my Aunt is taking great care of me, I cryed every night in Ohio. Sometime's I even wished I died... But I have to stay alive, For me, For the baby... For Jake. I signed on AIM to see if Jake or Sharlene was on.

ILoVeMy SHORTY: I just still can't believe that your going to have a kid.

I grabbed my jacket and walked down the stair's thinking about Jake with each step. My aunt drove me to the doctor's office and we didn't say a word to each other through the whole ride, I guess she knew what I was going through since she got pregnant at the age of 16, but the father's parent's wanted to take have the baby, They said that she wasn't responsible enough to take care of a child. That's kind of like my situation but in visa versa. When I finally got to the doctor's office, it felt cold. A few people were coughing and looked pale, Some didn't seem sick at all. Either way, It was a cold place for me. I asked the nurse where you would go for pregnancy and she pointed out a room and said it should be about 2 room's right of it. I walked off to find the room she was talking about. I saw a sign above a room that said "Pregnancy" all the room's were labled according to the sickness or situation. I peaked into the room that was labeled as pregnancy and walked in. I saw a girl that looked a few years older then me, She was crying with her head down. I tapped her back to ask her if she was alright.
Charmaine: Hi I'm Charmaine, Are you okay?
Girl: Yea, I'm fine.
Charmaine: Your pregnant right?
She began sobbing harder and nodded her head "yes".
Charmaine: Me too.
Girl: But you don't even look like your in High School.
Charmaine: Yea, This year was supposed to be my first year.
Girl: That's so sad, So did your guy bail out when he found out that you were pregnant?
Charmaine: No... I bailed out on him.
Girl: What do you mean?
Charmaine: He wanted to stay and be the dad, He wanted us to all be together and be a family... But I bailed out on him.
Girl: Aww that's so cute, Why'd you bail?
Charmaine: It's just were so young, And I already ruined my life... I just want him to live a normal teenage life.
Girl: How sweet of you.
Girl: The guy who is the father of my kid... I thought he loved me, but I was wrong.
Charmaine: I'm so sorry.
Girl: It's ok...
Nurse: Charmaine?
Charmaine: That's me gotta go talk to you again?
Girl: Yea, Bye.
I walked a few step's behind the nurse and she looked at me, I knew what she was thinking "Another stupid pregnant teen". I knew people were going to think that about me for a while now. I just had to deal with it.
Nurse: The doctor will be with you shortly...
After that the doctor arrived about 2 minutes after and took some x-rays he looked at them and scratched his chin.
Doctor: Your young Charmaine, A whole life ahead of you.
Doctor: Are you sure you would like to keep the baby?
Charmaine: Yea, I'm sure.
Doctor: Ok Charmaine, Your baby girl is healthy... But by the look's of this chart there may be a problem with it when she is born.
Charmaine: Problem?
Doctor: There might be a problem in the way she come's out.
Charmaine: Can you fix it? Will she live?
Doctor: No I can't fix it, and I don't really know...
Charmaine: Ok thank's. I'll be going now...
Doctor: Bye Charmaine.
I waited outside for my Aunt to pick me up. I can't believe there might be a problem with my daughter being born.
*Ring, Ring*
Charmaine: Hello?
Jake: Hey Charmaine!
Jake: Are you still in the doctor's?
Charmaine: No, I just got out.
Jake: And? Any new's?
Charmaine: It's a girl.
Jake: I hope she's as pretty as you.
I started sobbing.
Jake: Shorty what's wrong?
Charmaine: She might be die being born.
Jake: ...Oh my god... Charmaine.
Charmaine: I gotta go my Aunt's here.
I hung up and let the tear's fall out. I told my Aunt the hole story.
8 MONTH'S LATER.
Aunt: Charmaine your so fat.
I gave her a "Grr" look. She laughed.
Charmaine: Yea I know my Tummy is big.
Aunt: Have you thought of any name's for your daughter?
Charmaine: Not yet...
said looking down, remembering what the doctor had said.
Aunt: She'll be fine you know that right?
Charmaine: I hope so.
Everyday Jake would call me to check on the baby. He really wasn't like all the other teenage dad's, I guess no matter how young he was, he was ready to handle a child. Jake is still kicked out of his house and living with his cousin. I'm 8 Month's pregnant, And although I miss LA, I'm getting used to life in here. Yes, Jake and I eventually did get back together and I love him so much and wish we could see each other again; But we can't since his parent's won't buy him a plane ticket and I can't fly in my condition. I haven't talked to Sharlene in awhile, But she does check up every so often.
*Ring, Ring*
Charmaine: Hello?
Jake: Hi Baby girl, How's our baby girl?
Charmaine: Hah, She's good. She's kicking alot.
Jake: Ah I wish I could see both of you, Well her inside of you.
Charmaine: I wish I could see you too.
Jake: Shorty, Remember that time I suprised you on that one Christmas?
Charmaine: Yea..
Jake: Well I did it again, Come outside.
Charmaine: Oh my god JAKE!!
I was so excited to see Jake again that I ran outside and hugged him so tightly we both almost fell to the floor.
Jake: Shorty your so big! In a good way.
He kissed me on my forehead and we didn't let go of each other.
Chapter ten (Charmaine's point of view) :
Jake officially moved to Ohio and my Aunt generously let him live with us, and I was so greatful. Jake and I had a great time together in Ohio, I was still 8 months pregnant and looking very fat. Today Jake said he wanted to take me and our baby somewhere, So I was getting ready. We were both only 15, But so much in love. Every day of my life I thank god for letting me find my true love.
Jake: Charmaine are you ready to go?
Charmaine: Yea.
We caught a Taxi to a Chinese restaruant and picked up one of our favorite food's, Chow Mein noodles. After we ate Jake said there was somewhere he wanted to take me, So we catched another taxi and were on our way. We held hands the whole time and I rested on his shoulder.
Jake: Were almost here Shorty.
Charmaine: So where exactly are we going?
Jake: Hah, you'll see.
We arrived at a park that looked like the one back at LA.
Charmaine: Oh my gosh Jake, It look's like the park in LA.
Jake: Yea...
We held hands and walked on top of a high hill and gazed at the stars. The stars were so beautiful, Glisstening brightly on the dark backround of the night sky. Jake smiled at me and kissed me softly and knelt on one knee, I didn't really know what he was doing but I had an idea...
Jake: Shorty, I know were young. But after losing you once, I don't ever want to lose you ever again in my life, I love you....
Jake: We've been through just about it all and been together for the longest time... Will you marry me?
I put my hands over my mouth in suprise as he held out a ring in front of me, I started shedding tears of joy. I couldn't believe what was just happening. Suddenly every moment of my life could not compare to what just happened... But before I could say anything my baby started kicking and I felt contractions and I fell to the floor, The next thing I could remember I was inside a hospital with Jake by my side. I was having my baby...
Doctor: Breathe Charmaine.
I followed the doctors orders and held onto Jake's hand tightly. Hours later I delievered my baby, Without a name. Jake and My Aunt walked inside my hospital room and smiled at me, We awaited the doctor to bring our daughter into the room.
Jake: You did it babe...
Charmaine: We did it.
Charmaine: And yes Jake, I will marry you... I Love you with all my heart.
He kissed me and smiled at me, and said "I love you".
Aunt: Congrats kiddo.
She hugged me and we all were innterupted when the doctor walked into the room with my baby in his arms.
Doctor: Congratulations Charmaine!
I felt tears roll out of my cheeks from looking at my baby. I held her in my arms and Jake sat next to me.
Jake: This is our family Charmaine. I love you.
Charmaine: I love you too.
Aunt: What will you guys name her?
Charmaine: Lilly ann.
Jake: That's a beautiful name. She's beautiful.
Charmaine: She looks like you.
Jake: Hah, Like thats a bad thing.
I kissed him and we both just stared at our baby girl. I was only 15 years old, Some girls at my age are dating at least 1 guy a month thinking its love, But here I am already getting married with a baby starting a family. Although some girls would think being pregnant at 15 is terrible, But I feel blessed. After one year of raising Lilly, I started school at Marsten High School and Jake applied for a job. Chapter 11 (Jake's point of view):
Charmaine: Jake, I'm going to school now. Are you sure you can take care of Lilly?
Jake: Yea Shorty, Have fun.
Charmaine: K Love ya!
I kissed Charmaine softly on the forehead and sat down to rock baby Lilly to sleep.
Charmaine's Aunt: Aw you make such a cute dad Jake.
Jake: Hah.
Charmaine's Aunt: So Charmaine left already?
Jake: Yup.
Charmaine's Aunt: Have you ever took care of a baby before?
Jake: Nah, Just my 3 year old cousin.
Charmaine's Aunt: Hmm, well how did your job interview go?
Jake: It went good, I don't know if I got the job yet.
Charmaine's Aunt: Well I have to go to work now, You need anything before I go?
Jake: No, But thank's for everything you did.
Charmaine's Aunt smiled at me and said "No prob". Charmaine's aunt was cool, She was just like a big sister to Charmaine and I, A better big sister then Allyssa was. Speaking of Allyssa I wanted to see how she was, I don't think she knew about Me and Charmaine's baby girl.

"C'mon Allyssa pick up the phone" I said in my head.
Allyssa: Hello?
Jake: Allyssa!
Allyssa: Ew, Jake.
Jake: Hah great to here you too.
Jake: Ay, You know why mom and dad kicked me out of the house right?
Allyssa: Mom said it's cause you got alot of s**t you need to straighten out in your life.
Jake: You know what that s**t is right?
Allyssa: No, What are you on drug's? And where are you?
Jake: No I'm not on drugs, and I'm in Ohio with Charmaine.
Allyssa: Why?
Jake: Charmaine had a baby, and I'm the father.
Allyssa: OH MY GOD!! JAKE!!
I could tell she sounded happy, yet shocked. Allyssa always did love babys.
Allyssa: Is it a boy or a girl? What's its name? How old?
Jake: Girl, Lilly ann, 1 Week.
Allyssa: Oh my goodness! I have to meet her, CONGRATULATIONS!
Jake: Hah thanks. Oh and Charmaine and I are getting married.
Allyssa: OH MY GOD JAKE! your getting married and have a kid, and yet I still can't meet one guy.

ONE WEEK LATER.
I have a great life in my eyes, Charmaine and I are going to make it. Just cause were young it doesn't mean s**t. All that matters is love, and Charmaine and I have a lot of love. When she got home from school I asked her how it was, She responed by saying it was great and that it was one of the many things that added to her perfect life. It was our perfect life... Till.

Jake: Hello?
Sharlene: Jake? Why do you have Charmaine's phone? How's the baby?
Jake: Hi Sharlene, Because Charmaine forgot it, And she's fine.
Sharlene: Thats good to here, Whats the baby doing right now?
Jake: Shes sleeping.
Sharlene: How cute.

Jake: Hold up Sharlene, someone is calling.

Jake: Hello?
Charmaine: Jake??...
I was shocked, It was Charmaine and she sounded like she was in pain.
Jake: Charmaine, Are you Okay? Where are you??
Charmaine: I'm on a pay phone near my school, Can you catch a taxi and meet me at the hospital?
Jake: I'll be there.
I quickly caught a taxi and rode to the hospital, I was scared that Charmaine could be hurt. She didn't say much on the phone, I immdiately entered the hospital and asked the nurse what room Charmaine was in. After she told me I ran and saw Charmaine pale laying on a hospital bed. I held her cold hands and asked if she was okay.
Charmaine: Jake, I feel like I'm going to die.
Jake: Don't say that Shorty you'll be fine.
Charmaine: Who's watching Lilly?
Jake: Your Aunt.
Doctor: Oh hello Jake.
Jake: What's wrong with her? Is she okay?
Doctor: I don't know really, She has a high fever and is growing cold and pale.
Jake: What do you think it could be?
Doctor: It's probably an after affect from her being pregnant at such a young age.
Jake: Oh my god, Will she be okay?
Doctor: I don't really know, We are doing the best we can to make sure she's fine.
Jake: Can I wait here with her?
Doctor: Of course you can.
I pulled up a chair next to her and held her hands.
Jake: you'll pull through Charmaine.
Charmaine: I love you Jake.
Jake: I love you too.
2 Week's later Charmaine was taken out of the hospital and we decided we wanted to get married as soon as possible... Today was the day of Me and Charmaine's wedding. We got married in a near by church. I stood near the altar in my tux with my cousin by my side. Me and Charmaine's parents and a few members of our family members and friends flew here too. Sharlene and I awaited for Charmaines entrance, I smiled at Sharlene and lip said the word "Thank you." She looked confused and said "for what?" pretty loudly. I laughed and said "For introducing Charmaine and I in the fifth grade" She smiled and said "Your welcome" My mom yelled at me "Shh!" as I heard the organ player starting to play. I turned and saw Charmaine in a beautiful long white dress walking side by side with her father. I swear I never seen her more beautfiul.

After that everything went beautifully. Charmaine and I were now officially married... Our parents did forgive us, and understood how in love we were. Everyone flew back to LA while Charmaine and I stayed in Ohio so she could finish school at Marsten. I, Of course stayed home to take care of Lilly, And Allyssa moved down here to help me too. It was great, But today was different. Charmaine called again and ended up in the hospital, This time the doctors did not let me wait in the same room with her...
Hours went by and Allyssa, Me and Lilly waited in the waiting room. Lilly started crying so Allyssa took her to see a fish tank near by... I felt frustrated that no one was informing us on how Charmaine was doing, About another hour went by and it was already 1 in the morning, Allyssa and Lilly fell asleep on a couch in the waiting room and I sat there watching time fly, wondering if Charmaine was ok. Till I saw a doctor come out. I ran up to him to ask him what the hell was going on.
Jake: Is Charmaine okay?
Doctor: Jake... Uhh, I'm Sorry
And as soon as I heard him say that I fell to my knee's knowing something had happened.
Doctor: Charmaine died from a birth defect, she started throwing up alot of blood, and she lost too much of it. I'm sorry...
I started crying on the floor, hitting it to release my anger. It felt like someone stabbed a knife through my heart. I was crying loudly and I just couldn't stop. I knew it was my fault, If I had not made her pregnant, She would still be here. I wanted to die and be in heaven with her, But I couldn't I had to take care of our baby Lilly... Lilly soon grew up to be beautiful, and started school. She reminded me so much of Charmaine. Not one day went by that I didn't think of Charmaine. Lilly always asked me and Allyssa questions about Charmaine like "Was mommy pretty?" And thing's like that. A few nights I would cry myself to sleep. I never took off my wedding ring, and I never met someone else. Charmaine was now watching over us, Like our own gaurdian angel. I miss her more then anything, and wish we could have had a life together... But that's life, You can't hang on to anyone forever. I know one day I'll be with Charmaine again in heaven... It's just a matter of time. But I will never forget her, Never. She was my true love. My Angel. My body. My soul. My Everything, How could I live without her?... But thing is no matter how hard it was for me to live, I had to... For Lilly Ann.
