A totema to protect a crystal....
Olive green with armored plate adorning him, Adrammelech displays his talons and spreads his brilliant scaled wings in defiance against those who, "...profane the light"! As he swoops downward for a counter attack, firestream protruding his beak, he realizes the peircing blade that thorns his side! He flails his wings furiously as he descends towards the ruined temples dark and crumbled, yet holy ground. A thunderstrike from a color magic moogle and a spear from a mighty warrior baanga dragoon pain his bleeding flesh further! Then, in the corner of Adrammelech's eye, he sees a shadow appear from the dark...and a flash before his eyes...she hid well, but that clever Vierra deserves his carcass. What with such skill as to use "conceal", a sniper skill that allows you to be virtually invisible; and a deadly assasin skill from her arrow known as "Ultima Masher" which incircles its foe in a blinding light, doing incredible damage. This finishes him off in one well played and well perfected combination!

He is falling unconscious from the pain in his battered body now. The last thing he hears is the terrible shattering, the crystal's last cry for breath as it's body falls into a million peices! Adrammelech has failed to protect his crystal. A crystal to be protected by her totema.

It was that same crystal that he had protected all his life. He protected her without expecting protection back. He gave his time without the crystal's capability of contemplating time. He cherished the crystal without the crystal even knowing how to feel, for it was just a crystal. It was as if she had never been. Yet Adrammelech protected her because it was his sworn duty to take care of her regardless of his exile into loneliness. Truthfully though, he never really minded the loneliness. For he had learned a true facet of charity and that sacrifice isn't really a sacrifice if you love something enough.
