I always make all-new fresh starts with this Gaia Journal, and then I never keep it up. When I remember that it exists, I read the old posts and get kinda grossed out 'cause of how annoying I was. This has happened like 3 times now and it'll probably happen again... whatever C:
So yeah, new journal for the purpose of writing stuff down in a location that isn't paper. Woot!
What's going on right now... I'm drinking Full Throttle, that's about it. I've been drinking waaayyy too much of this stuff and I'm probably going to suffer heart failure or something because of it. I really treat my body like crap. I reason it by saying, "oh, I have the metabolism of a teenager and it's not like I'm fat, right?" but then I get sick and feel miserable. Point is, I take advantage of my health and I'll die early or something because I don't take care of myself. Pouty face!
For all who don't know, I play flute (well, used to) in my school's advanced band. I also play bass guitar in jazz band. Only, I wasn't really good at flute and got kicked out in favor of my friend (who really deserves it -- she loves the flute and has lessons and practices her hiney off, whereas I really don't care much. I'm happy that she's in the advanced band, she'll be great for it.) Still, I really need to stay in band to keep in Jazz to play bass, which is what I'm really into, so my band teacher let me take the school's bass clarinet to learn over the summer. I really need to learn it because I intend to play it for the rest of high school. Probably what I'll be doing for the rest of the afternoon unless I meet my boyfriend somewhere.
3/4 of my band Pie met up yesterday. We really didn't get anything done. Our drummer Shelley is going on a trip for the rest of the summer and was getting ready, so she didn't join us. The rest of us kinda screwed around and pretended to play and stuff. I don't really know where this band is going. I guess all we can do is wait for Shelley to get some drum lessons and go from there. It'll be nice to have an excuse to play bass more when I'm back in Jazz.
God, I'm such a nerd though! I'm having school withdrawals. Usually they hit around my birthday (mid-July) but I've managed to hold them off until now. Now I just want to be in classes and doing interesting stuff. Maybe I'm just bored? Urgh, I should spend more time outside. Get a sunburn. I haven't gotten a sunburn yet this summer... maybe that's a good thing...
To-do:
-Learn bass clarinet
-Get a sunburn
-Figure out how to do laundry so I can have some clean clothes (what a concept)
-Clean out file cabinets
-Visit a Coinstar location
-Kill my pop can towers to avoid an ant invasion
