Well like the title says, it certainly has been a while since I've posted a new entry here, but can you really blame me when I'm pretty sure that no one actually reads these things? mrgreen
Anyway, what to say? Well not too much has happened since the last time I wrote something, the only real major thing that's changed is I've finally started that Webcomic I've been dreaming about for ages. I'm not going to give out the link yet though. No its not because the arts terrible (though it is) its because at the moment the site itself is in awful shape, the most basic of html you can imagine. So until I get that sorted I'll refrain from linking. You're not missing much though, at the time of writing this there's only 2 pages up wink But I'm definately excited about the whole thing, expect me to go on about this more at a later date.
Well in my last post, I talked about how FilmFour was having its Studio Ghibli season, well thanks to FilmFour I've seen some of the most breath-takingly wonderful movies ever made. Apparently it wasn't enough for me though as I went out and bought almost every Ghibli film ever made (including a few which I hadn't yet seen and which FF hadn't shown) and they now line my shelves. I believe there's only 3 I haven't got (4 if you count Castle of Cagliostro) and I may hold back before buying them, while I haven't seen them (Pom Poko, Only Yesterday and My Neighbours the Yamadas) they're not the best of Ghibli's films, although I'm sure they're still great. The growing hole in my wallet though is certainly telling me to wait biggrin
Oh, of course I've had my birthday come and go since the last post. Nineteen now, doesn't seem too different. The day itself was alright, nothing too special just a meal out with the family. Didn't get too many presents, I'm still waiting on the promise of a new computer (ugh, I won't go on about how horrible this current one is, or we'd be here all night) but I got a whopping and suprising £2000 from my Gran! It certainly stunned me. I'm going to hold onto it though, definately going to be smart with that amount of money, no spending sprees for me.
Time for the quick-thoughts paragraph! The new Jigsaw game is fun, theres a very cheap method which lets you complete even the harder difficulties in record time though. Lost season 3 is coming to the UK already, thank god to SkyOne, shame all the channel 4 fans of it without Sky TV will have to miss out on it though.. luckily I'm not one of them razz . The Wii comes out here in just over a month, can't wait for that, so I'll probably buy it myself straight away as opposed to waiting for it to be a Christmas present. New Dr. Who spin-off show Torchwood seems good, lot more mature however, but if anything that makes me want to watch it more.
*takes a deep breath* Okay, don't think I'll be doing those quick-thought paragraphs too often from now on. Guess the only way to combat that is to make more frequent journal posts though biggrin So I'll try writing here a little more often, its nice though, good way to get things off your chest. So until next time Sayonara (oh yeah I'm trying to learn Japanese, we'll see how that's going next time eh?).

Well it's been a while since my last post and eh.. well I don't know what I'm going to talk about, I'll just see where my ramblings take me. Well I guess I could start at commenting about how I'm getting the knack of getting gold so hopefully that damn ninja-headband will be mine a couple of months (hey I may have got the knack, but damn those things are outrageously expensive) and I gave into my temptations and bought a strength rod + for fishing, I can tackle durem now wink . Hmm, as for what I'm doing in my outside Gaia life... well not much. I'm still just being incredibly lazy, I need something to kickstart me into actually doing something, preferably the webcomic idea I've had in my head for a year or two now. Although I bought a graphics tablet recently, which is pretty nifty. At the moment I'm still not too good at using it so I can only really use it for something like drawing flash animation type things until I improve and use it to actually draw some nice stuff in photoshop. Also this week is great for me as now that FilmFour is a free channel over here they've decided to show pretty much all of the Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki films over the next week. And being the big fan of anime that I am I'm really ecstatic about it, especially as Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke were some of the best films (not just anime) I've seen ever. Anyway, this week when I'm not watching a Miyazaki film I'll try and do something creative, maybe post it up here see what people think. Although I'll probably procrastinate as per usual and not do anything razz
Well that's my rant for a bit, until next time *waves*.

Well it's been a couple of days since my last post so I thought I should write a new one. I warn you though, at the time of writing this it's 2:30am and I'm really tired so I could just go on and on about random crap.
Anyhoo, Gaia's sucked me in again and it doesn't want to let me go. I've always been a fan of Blackjack but never a fan of losing money, but thanks to Gaia cards I don't have to worry about that too much. Also turns out that apart from being extremely addicted to it, I also seem to have a natural talent for it (not counting the times the AI is obviously cheating razz ). So I might just set my self a little mini-gaia goal of doing a cards marathon, I'll load up on like 2000 tokens and just spend an hour or two on there.
Talking of Gaia games, Word Bump is also very fun and very addictive. The only real problem with it that I see is that by the time you get to the real money making levels you're too tired, it's a surprisingly draining game. I suppose next time though I could leave it on the between levels screen and have a half hour break or something. I believe my personal records is in the 70s by the way.
And I seem to be making a Gaia games theme as I go along here, so I might as well continue the trend. Gaia Fishing! Back last year I was hooked on this, so it's not surprise that it's reeled me back in ( sweatdrop awful pun I know). This time however I've moved up to the medium leagues! Oh yes, I started regularly fishing at the Port of Gambino. I remember playing it last year and getting utterly frustrated, but now that I come back I realise you just have to get the knack of it, which I seem to be doing quite well. Also at Gambino it's very easy to tell the fish from the trash, so it's much easier to get an all fish bucket. I think I'll wait till I upgrade my rod before I try my luck at Durem though.
I could talk about the slots... and I might as well. The slots... well they're not for me, never was a fan of pure blind luck, I like to have a little skill thrown in as well. So generally I just steer clear of them biggrin
Well there was my long late night (and lets face it) useless, rant about the games of Gaia, guess I'll conclude on a similar note in saying I hope they introduce that Battle System I've heard so much about soon. In the mood for some fighting twisted Night everyone!

So... what to say? Well on this account I've only been around a few days, but I did have a former account (I won't say the name as you wouldn't know anyway razz ) didn't like the name though. So after Gaia inevitably hooked me back again I went to creating this account using the name that I've started using any and everywhere.
Origins of the name? Well I used to use Gunslinger19 as my game name, inspired from my favourites books The Dark Tower series by Stephen King, but I felt like a bit of an idiot using that name outside of first-person shooters. So I checked my always handy thesaurus and came up with Desperado, and I kept the 19 because it's my lucky number (again thanks to the Dark Tower).
Anyway, here I am back again at Gaia. I've got a few goals here right now. Firstly get all of "Those 70s Red Clothes" so I can get my avater looking nice and snazzy, also to set up this journal and profile and get them in full working order, and maybe browsing the writings and art sections, posting some of my own work to see what people think.
I could go on and on about what's on my mind at the moment, but seeing as how this is just my first post I'll leave it as a fairly brief introduction and bore you to death with my later posts. So for now Adios.
