A blink, a sigh.
Time swiftly passes by.
No, no. Cannot wait.
Yet I still hesitate.
Aching fear grips my soul.
The extent, you cannot know.
Perhaps, maybe today's the day
When I gather my courage and say
The secrets I've been keeping inside.
These emotions I've worked to hide.
No, no. I still cannot reveal
The words my heart yearns to feel.
So for now, I'll push them away.
I know today's not the day.
Yes, I sense time's ticking fast,
But surely these feelings will not last
Forever.

I sit here every day and night
Thinking- wishing with all my might
That one day, you will finally see
How much you truly mean to me.
You're like an angel sent from above,
And I wish you'd trust me with your love.
I may not see you everyday,
But you're in my heart anyway.
You're funny, intellegent, clever, sweet,
And I'm praying the next time we meet
You'll eventually fall in love with me,
And on that day, you'll finally see
What i've been feeling all this time;
Constantly wishing you were mine.

Shoelace Love
Let me be your shoelace.
Wherever you go, I'll follow.
My loyalty is like a mailman:
For you, I'll trek through rain and snow.
No matter what you step in,
I'll always be by your side.
Even if it smells horrendous,
I'll wear the smell with pride.
You may take me for granted.
I mean, you use me everyday.
But as long as you consider me yours,
I'll be here for you till I'm grey.
My love will last forever,
Even if you get rid of me.
I may become ripped and torn,
But for you, my heartstrings alway beat.
So now I declare my love for you,
Though you probably didn't hear.
For I am as your shoelace,
But still here to use, never fear.

Labyrinth Eyes
Clear, turquoise eyes.
A simple piercing gaze.
Speckled with humor and intellegence,
And beyond them lies a maze
To the soul, to the heart.
Somewhere I would like to be.
But this labyrinth is difficult.
The end, I cannot see.
But determnation takes hold.
My feet begin to move.
My goal is the center.
I do not plan to lose.
My body's in motion,
Down the pathways I go.
Left, right, turn around.
The exact way, I do not know.
But still, I move ahead.
In this, I will not quit.
I will conquer this maze,
Then the fires will be lit.
I will make his heart burn,
Just as he makes mine.
Through those eyes, I see the puzzle
That I will finish in time.
