Right, so Katie gave me the idea to make a blog. At first, I thought 'yay blog! I get to ramble on and on about stuff nobody cares about, and people actually read it!' When first thinking of the idea, one may think 'man, I can talk about this this and this' but when you actually get up to do it, you have absolutely NO clue what you're going to be talking about. So you ramble on about how you don't have anything to talk about, or how nothing interesting ever happens to you, or how your life sucks, or whatever. Way to make it a not-so-great start, eh? So, for my first 'lil entrymajig here, I'm going to expand off random statements as I think of them. Pretty exciting, right?
First off, wanna know what makes me mad? The second you get a new phone, you want something else. Of course, my phone isn't new, and I don't really see any other phones I want right now. But it's a constant idea of wanting something that you can't have. Not everyone feels this way, but it does come around eventually. Have you ever wanted something in your life? See, you too.
Second, I want to discuss my gummy bear problem. Gummy bears are delicious, but rip-offs are annoying. My parents got me 'Gourmet Fruity Bears' for Christmas [love ya guys! Not that you're reading this. But I appreciate the thought <3] and of course I'm eating them just now. They are obviously bigger, and they come in pink [original Haribo [sorry if I misspelled that] gummy bears do NOT have a pink. Random fact of the day] and are maybe twice as fat. Same tallness though. And instead of chewy, they're more like a squishy, and the texture is slightly different. Well, these Fat Free gummy bears are actually 10 calories EACH! If that doesn't mean anything to you, think of it this way: an average person eats about 2,500 calories a day. By eating 10 of these gummy bears [ya know, a handful] that's already 100 calories. That's, like, as much as those 100 calorie packs. Not very many gummy bears. Though, extremely fattening. But I'm not supposed to complain about fattness, since I'm a fairly skinny person. Though, I'm not going to get into that right now - that is so a whole other topic for another day, and I just thought of something else to rant about.
Third, I hate it when you think of something brilliant, yet while you're in the process of typing a sentence about it, you forget it. Happens to me all the time. I should do those Sudoku things. I actually do do some - I'm not as good as my mom, who also does Crossword puzzles daily by the way, but Ican do most of them pretty quickly and easily. Puzzles are easy fo rme. I like seeing the big picture.
But still, it's so annoying when you forget something as you're doing it. Like yesterday, I ran down the stairs to get something, but by the time I got to the bottom I forgot what I was supposed to be getting. I'm sure that's happened to you once or twice - maybe every couple days. But it's only human. And this human-talk brings me to the [probably last] thing I'm going to talk about today.
Yesterday, I saw probably the most interesting TV show ever [an actual series TV show, not something you'd find on the History or Discovery channel, though I do quite enjoy Planet Earth and aliens and Nessie and all] called 'Lie to Me'. You might have heard of it, you might not have, but basically it's another one of those criminal/crime/cop shows, but instead of a cop with a gun interrogated random people sitting at a table with that mirror/window behind them, it's about a group of scientists [well, cops, but I think they're supposed to be scientists. But I don't know I've only seen this show once] who solve the crimes by looking at people's emotions. As the show is called 'Lie to Me', the main characters in the show mostly spend their time figuring out if people are lying, and then use that to solve their little crimes.
These main characters look at the people's emotions, detect them, and use their body language to tell if they were lying. For example, there was a female soldier who had filed a report saying that one of the male soldiers had raped her, and the people had to find out if she was lying or not. The main character interviewed her, and noticed things such as how she played with her fingers, and how she quivered her lip when she was mentioning the rape, and all this other stuff. But he related this to how most rape victims usually show more emotion and do different things, and concluded she was lying. Without doing a whole show - breakdown, I'll just say that it really makes you think about the way people act, and how much you can learn about a person from their body language. They discovered that one of the possible-star basketball players had some form of arthritis, because whenever he talked about his basketball future he would throw his head, which was a common sign for someone being angry or upset. In teh show, they also brought up how people cross their arms when they feel offended, or lean back if they feel threatened. It's basic stuff, but it opens your eyes. It's really quite an interesting show, I would suggest watching it at least once. 'Lie to Me'. Don't ask me what channel it's on, I don't know, I'm sorry. D: Maybe if you try googling it you could find it. I so would, but I'm too lazy at the moment. But still, it's a great show, look for it. ;D
Thanks for sticking through and reading. :]
