Princess Serena sighed.
Today was the day she was to get full-grown wings, pick a prince, and get the wand of stars passed down to her.
She should be happy, right?
But she wasnt.
She touched the gem of her head in loving memory of her mom.
Her mom had died of the mysterious illness that was flooding the planet of stars.
she remembered what her mother told her before she died.
"only you...only you can save our kin. you must activate the power of the wand when you recieve it...and save everyone." those were the last words of her, before she drifted into eternal sleep.
She still remembered the promise her mom made to her when he was 12. She had promised she would be there on her big day. but she lied.
tears formed in her eyes.

There was a knock on the door.
"princess? princess. the ceremony will start in 10 minutes. You should hurry. Do you need any help?"
"no, its fine. Just go."

Serena quickly placed the pink crown on her head and picked up the white lily.
Then she left.

"AND NOW PRINCESS SERENA!"

She smiled at the crowd, who were cheering.

"BESTOW THE WAND AND LIQUID."

Her dad walked up, his fullgrown feathery wings shining upon her dull tiny ones.
He placed the wand in one of her hands and the cup of liquid in the other. She stared down at the golden substance and gulped it down. She felt a tingling feeling inside of her. Soon beautiful wings sprout out of her.
"beautiful..." she whispered. Now it was time to pick a prince.
She walked down the aisle trying to find one that was worthy. FInally she came upon a prince. He was the prince of the sun and he was talking lovingly to his horse. It showed he cared. She was struck with his and smiled. He was the one. She placed the white lily in his hands and they lived happily ever after.
