1. Monthly Collectibles
Alright. First, save up as much money as you can. $15-20 is a good amount. Go to the Gaia Store and buy some Thank You Letters. However, DO NOT BUY THEM UNTIL AFTER THE 15th.. This is VERY important. You must wait to buy them until after the fifteenth, when the items in the envelopes are revealed. If the item will become obviously extremely popular (the KiKi/CoCo plushies and the Celebrity Date are good examples of this), then buy about eight Thank You Letters. Open up four of these (two of each if they're both good or four of the item that's the best) and keep the other two unopened. Wear these if you'd like, but DO NOT sell them. Instead, wait for a minimum of one year before selling them. Two years is the best amount of time to wait, because by that time the item surely will have crossed the million barrier. Items will usually reach 60K-90K after one year, 500K-800K after two, and 20-30M after three. Since each is just $2.50, this is a VERY good deal.
2. Gaia Cards
This is possibly one of the greatest ways to make money in all of Gaia. Buy a few thousand tokens, head to the Games page, and start Gaia cards. Make a password-protected room so that nobody can distract you. The best strategy here is to bet three tokens each time, stand on anything higher than a 15, and to double-down on all 10s and 11s. Since there are four cards in the deck worth 10 (10, J, Q, K), be very careful when drawing on 12s or higher. You will get about 990 tickets for every 1000 tokens on average using this strategy. Since tickets are one of the most highly-demanded items in all of Gaia, they sell like hotcakes. Sell the tickets for 2.3 gold each. Since 990 x 2.3 = 2277, you will make an average 227% profit on every token you buy. The dealers will always stand on all 16s and usually have a lower chance of drawing a 10 while on a 12. Russell will always use Pocket Ace if his cards equal between 7 and 10 with a full rage meter. Blackjacks usually come in groups; you are very likely to get two or three blackjacks in a few turns after the first one has occurred.
3. Chatterbox
Another way to make a lot of money is to participate in Page Prize contests, particularly ones with large prizes with very frequent giveouts (first on every 50 pages, etc). If you keep trying, you have a good chance of winning at least once. Also, make sure to sneak-attack and bump while the regular threadgoers are not there (the middle of the night is a good time to do this), or after the thread has "fallen off" the Chatterbox and the thread has died. Make sure that the page number is close to your goal before starting. I would not advise solo-bumping more than 20 pages in one sitting. To maximize bumping potential, use a Java timer. Set it to 45 seconds and then select "Count Down". Reset the timer immediately after each bump.
4. Events
Due to inflation, events are a great way to make lots of gold if you are patient. If the event allows you to do it over and over again multiple times (like the Valentine's Day Event or the 4th Anniversary Event), then use Java Timer said earlier in the "chatterbox section of the journal".The timer comes in handy (trust me, I managed to get to second on the Top Kissers chart during the Valentine's Day event and fifth overall) during these kinds of events and will allow you to get the most out of the event. Collect as many of these items as you can, and never give up. Try to convince your parents not to take you to school or fake being sick in order to get a lot of the event item. Yes, it's that important. Within a few years (wait three or four for good measure), the items will become worth millions each (take the Corset for example), and, best of all, you will have tons of them! This will equal hundreds of millions of gold for you eventually.
5. Marketplace
Using the Marketplace is an extremely fast and effective way of making more gold. First of all, find an item that is in very high demand, such as Tickets or the most recent donation item. Find the cheapest one of these that you can (select "Lowest Buy Price" while searching) and buy it if the item is being sold at below market average. Then, sell it back for the market average. However, if you're impatient, you can sell your item for a little less than the market average so that your item will sell faster. However, doing this is not advised and waiting will pay off in the long run. It is also very profitable to bid on the "five-minute auction" in which someone is putting an expensive item up for auction for five minutes starting at zero gold. The best strategy is to copy your password into the clipboard so that you won't have to type it in whenever you bid. This comes in handy in the intense bidding environment. Then, whenever someone has bid more than you, bid just 1g higher than them (or, if the increment is higher than 1g, then increase the bid by the minimum increment). Usually, however, the owner will pull the item from auction at the last minute to avoid selling the item for less than it is worth. However, this may not always be the case, so it is still worth it to bid on these items.
6. Other Tips
- You can also make gold by commenting on profiles and commenting and voting in the Arenas.
- Don't donate to someone because they've been hacked/scammed. If someone has been hacked or scammed, it is due to no reason other than their stupidity and their own failure to protect their password. You should not have to pay for someone else's stupidity. Also, they are most likely lying anyway.
- In the case of ever needing to ask for a donation, always be literate. This means not using so-called "words" like "u", "ur", "plz", "y", "wat", or "r". People will be more likely to donate to you if you are literate. That way, they know that their gold will be going to someone smart.
