Waiting
This is a poem I wrote in the 8th grade. I was going through my stuff and found it. I really like how this poem turned out =D it's not one of those rhyming poems, it's freestyle. Hope you all like it and please leave a comment!!

Waiting

The soft gentle breeze
felt refreshing against her delicate pale skin
The mesmerizing swift waterfall
Falling ever so gallantly to the small
pond like river

She sat there on the smooth rock bank
Her sleek raven hair
Danced elegantly with the wind

Time slowly passing by.
The majestic sky was
painted with the colors of a raging fire.
Still she waits
Thinking only a bit longer...

Feelings of pain crossed her fragile soul
As tired fingers brushed
the shimmering diamond ring she wore

She watched the last rays of light
fell over the horizon
While sweet salty tears fell
one-by-one down her pale cheek.

Oblivious to everything around her,
Soft shuffling of feet could barely be heard through
Light sobbing and the mighty waterfall.

A smile graced her full lips
As rough yet gentle hands
brushed her crystal tears away.

He whispered to her:
"Thank you for waiting, my love."

Ok yea I know, kinda corny but I thought it was cute! Thanks for reading heart
