The Warning of the Wind
A dark cloud approaches.

Back from the forest, the bard returns to Evergreene walking briskly along the main road. Both sides are filled with rows of shops decorated with wooden baskets of carnations hanging along the front of the stores. Looking through the clear glass windowpanes, various commodities are on display especially antique and rare ornaments placed near the window for people to look. The warm breeze blows gently with the rustling of the leaves in the trees. The air is crisp as ever.

“Fate!”

He stops. Footsteps come closer and closer. He turns his head around.

A young girl dashes towards him with her long black strands of hair tangling in the breeze. She stops in front of him panting heavily with her body slightly slumped down, trying to gasp as much air with each breath. Once she regains her energy, she looks up at him. Stunned by such a sudden arrival, Fate stays quiet.

“Don’t you remember me, Fate?”

He examines her face carefully. A pale complexion of a young girl with her deep brown eyes and a smile that one could not forget, do I truly know her?
“Rosa…?”
“Yes, I knew you would remember me!” she grinned.
Realising that time is running out, Fate turns away and hurries quickly across the street. He can sense something. The wind is whispering. But what could they be saying?
“Is something wrong, Fate?” asked Rosa following behind him looking rather worried.
“No, it’s… nothing.”

He stops. He collapses to the floor. His hands cling on to his head. The voices. They are screaming. I see the darkness…

A field of flowers. Looking around him, there is nothing but flowers. He looks forwards. A figure with brown hair stands amongst the flowers with petals swirling around her in the air.
Who is that? That girl. Louisa?
She recedes into the distance.
Wait. Don’t go!
Her body slowly fades in the field of flowers.
Come back! Nooooooooo!!!!

“Fate!”

His eyes open. Rosa, who is sitting next to him, bends over the bed to look at his face.
“Are you alright? I was so worried.”
Fate remains silent.
“I’m so glad you’re better now. You just collapsed in the middle of the road.”
Fate slowly rises from the bed. He stares outside the window.
“You should really get some rest first. I’ll go get something nice to eat.”
The wind is whispering again.
“The wind is warning us,” he said.
“What?”
“Something’s coming.”
