Aralyn ran through the trees. About an hour after Aralyn had left Keydos knew she had killed the guard. How had she done it ? Aralyn wasn't particularily strong and she was a little woman standing at 4'8". She was indeed a powerful woman. However he was not going to allow her to leave his side. He rose angrily and stormed out of his tent. "ARALYN HAS ESCAPED. EVERYONE, FIND HER AND BRING HER BACK."Dylan awoke to the cry and set out to fetch Ara. She had been his best friend for many years but he had a duty to the King. The following evening Dylan came across Aralyn by a stream. "Ara?" he said
"Dylan I could never hurt you but.. I'm not going back." she said
"Ara I must..." Dylan sighed.
Ara looked down and shook her head. "Dylan I cannot give him the satisfaction of taking my maidenhead,, atleast let me give it to you and then you may take me back." she said very softly.
"I can do that, Aralyn." Dylan smiled as he pulled down her outer robe.
Afterward, they lay together on a large rock under the stars. Aralyn fell asleep swiftly in Dylan's embrace. Dylan granced down at Ara. I know Ara doesn't love me like that... but I like her. Can I really return her to that miserable man? I'll pretend I never found her... I just cannot hurt her and I cannot defend her with these useless hands. "Ara I envy you that your hands are so useful." he whispered and gently slipped out of the embrace. He headed back to Prince Keydos.
Aralyn awoke hours later alone and with her sword next to her. "He didn't return me ? I am a free woman." She said and looked up at the sun. I'm going to be a good woman. I'll protect the weak to repay the debt of freedom." she said and headed to Drendar.
