((( Enjoy and maybe post comments when you're done biggrin )))
Prologue While my parents and friends were visiting Sabe and I, every Gaian was forcibly drafted into some airship voyage to deliver supplies or was sent to prison on the spot. It seemed a little fishy, but we had no choice. So here we are, on this stupid airboat. I might as well keep track of everything that happens so I can pass the time.
-Week One- First day since we left Barton Town, and we've started off pretty well! Our guide Diedrich helped us figure out a ton of stuff. Sabe whined about how "our supposed stroke of luck isn't going to last long", but he can stuff a sock in his mouth. Let me be happy.
The next day, Mum had the bright idea of throwing a celebratory party, and it was okay. Note to self: I had no idea half-robots could get drunk.
Nothing new after that, but we did see a massage place. I asked why a massage parlor would plaster porn on the walls and have ship lubricant in the basement, but my dad just snickered.
Oh, and he won against an ogre at a knitting contest. That was pretty strange. Never knew Dad knitted stuff.
Other than that, everybody seems to be in good condition.
-Week Two- Some people were getting a little sick already, particularly Dad....but then again, he's not the type to be flyin' around on airships in the first place.
I tried hunting for the first time today and shot a bison, a grunny and a walking pumpkin! Sabe said that I sucked at firing guns and he bets that he can beat that the next time around. I doubt it. He'd get scared of his own gun and run off with nothing like the little b***h he is. lol
Eventually we had to choose between picking the desert trail or continuing in the forest. We were going to get a vote started, but Kassa says that the desert weather is going to be hot as hell and that we should go through the forest instead. I agree; I hate hot weather.
Everybody's feeling fine, but we could be better...
-Week 3- Sabe went out hunting when nobody was looking and got in my face because he brought back more than I did. I can care less. He really needs to stop being such a stuck-up p***k, or he's going to wish that someone else took his spot.
I felt a lump under my mattress later that night and found bullet flowers growing on vines! Dad and Kassa cut off a piece of the vine and put it in a corked bottle so they could study it later. They're both nuts, not to mention Sabe. We came across a vial of slowly moving purple stuff and he wanted to drink it, of all things. We told him 'no' and secretly sold it to some travellers for some loot.
We also saw a pygmy tribe. My parents made a bet between themsevles on whether or not Dad could control them. He won the bet. I woke up in the middle of the night to somebody's moaning. I don't wanna know what exactly was staked on that bet anymore...
Aside from some slight mental scarring, we're good.
-Week 4- Mum brought back more both of us when he picked up the gun. I'm actually surprised, because he just spends his time holed up at home all day!
One more odd thing - he can rule a magical kingdom with hundreds of thousands of people in it, but he's no match for a tribe! Dad laughed so hard his face turned pink. So did I.
We're all good, but I think Kassa can do better.
-Week 5- A nymph stole my pencil, so I'm using a quill pen. Don't eat me if the writing's smudgy. We saw a rainbow, too. Rainbows look pretty gay. We've decided to stop and laze around this week.
-Week 6- Mum's stomach got a lot bigger from doing nothing last week, and Dad couldn't help but rub it. I got a good laugh as he got chased all around the deck.
Also, Kassa was messing with Sabe's hairspray and somehow managed to make the ship go faster than usual. Is it made with rocket fuel or something?! Oh, and he's gonna be pissed when he finds half of his hairspray missing...
...and the dumbass choked on food in the middle of the night. Sabe must have been seriously stuffing his face, cause he managed to cough up a third of his body weight in "still-edible food". Yeah, Kassa... sure. I'm not touching that 50 pounds of food. Ugh. And then she goes and finds wild bird eggs in the mast and takes them down to make them for breakfast tomorrow morning. One of them was already smashed, and I could have sworn I saw a bird that wasn't ready to hatch yet. Dad told me those kinds of eggs were a delicacy where he was raised. I think now I know why people like cracking jokes about barbarians and tribes at him.
Oh, and that bullet vine in a jar sprouted some bullets. Kassa asked if she could snag a grant for experiments with bullet vines when we go back home. Most of us laughed, but Dad seriously considered it.
Other than that, most of us are good.
-Week 7- Kassa came up to me and looked like she wanted something from me. I've been keeping some emergency chocolate hidden should I need it. I think she knew that, so there was no sense in hoarding it because she would squeal about it. The next day, she gave us all some cake. It was better than I thought, but then again when's the last time any of us had cake?
A few days later, Mum was a little on the drunk side and messed around with a giant anthill. We told him not to ******** around with it. He didn't come back. Dad wouldn't talk to anyone. I later caught him experimenting with some of the herbs and stuff that was meant to go toward that jellyfish thing. I'm not sure what he was doing, but Mum's mangled body was right next to him. I think that was the first time I've ever puked in a long while.
None of us feel too great.
-Week 8- We seriously needed to get some rest. We're doing okay, but Dad's been getting thinner. He doesn't want to eat, either.
-Week 9- Dad's sleepwalking every other day now and Kassa's acting strange. Sabe was giggling nonstop at some cloud, but I couldn't tell what it looked like. I don't care.
-Week 10- Tapeworms suck.
-Week 11- Nobody else dropped dead yet.
-Week 12- I must've been dreaming, but we saw a jellybean thing that shot out jellybeans every time we pet it. Sabe had this silly grin on his face for the rest of that day. He likes jellybeans.
Kassa was arguing with Sabe about something, but I told them to just settle it with rock-paper-scissors. They both got over it and was playing that game for a few hours. Maybe they were bored. We all are. Sabe was bored enough to lick moss off the ship. I yelled at him and told him it was gross, but he said it was tasty. What the hell, man? Is everyone losing it?
-Week 13- A band of air pirates tried to attack us this week. We fought them off and stole their stuff. You don't ******** with a bunch of bored crazy people who've been on an airship for longer than they can handle.
Dad broke his leg later. Sabe started abusing pills and having hallucinations, but he's looking a little better than the rest of us. We're not sure if Kassa's turned into a zombie or not, but we let it slide.
Kassa's now gone too. We had to shoot her down to protect everyone else. Dad isn't taking too well to this death either. He went back to messing with herbs, but I'm still left puzzled - Why did Kassa's gunshot wound ooze a light cyan fluid instead of blood? Sabe stared out into empty space after seeing it. Dad didn't answer my question and sounded pretty aggressive while telling me to leave. I wonder about Sabe's reaction, too.
-Week 14- A bunch of crazy kids started shooting blow darts at us. What were they thinking?
Anyway, we're putting ourselves and the ship into overdrive. Our guide already ditched us by now.
-Week 15- Dad was feeling pretty down. We all got a decent amount of rest this week, sans having to fight off reanimated rats.
Sabe's been having some pretty nasty nightmares and would wet the bed sometimes. I yelled at him about it once, regrettably; He broke down and cried. Later I saw him trying to hang himself with his scarf. He failed, but Dad got deathly scared and went in to comfort him and talk him out of it. I got quite an earful the next day.
-Week 16- We're....in a different plane of existence, as my dad says. It doesn't seem like it though. There's a lot of floating cities here, however. Maybe home wasn't so far away from Gaia after all. I spotted a massive castle that sported a cream and white-colored flag somewehere in the distance, but that could have been any place; Our kingdom's ensignia is a cluster of white crystals. I couldn't see what the design on the flag was save for the color.
-Week 17- We're starting to run out of ammunition. Oh, and tapeworms still suck.
Offnote: Sabe could see the jellyfish thing in the distance. I only knew about it because I could hear him cussing out at the thing. I would do the same thing if I were in his shoes.
-Week 18- ...
Dad's gone too. We tried preserving him the same way as Kassa and Mum. It's just me and Sabe now.
But...we made it to the end the next day. I don't wanna think about what would've happened if we had to press on any further.
Aftermath After we restocked our ship and rested, we flew the ship to that castle I saw earlier. It really was ours. We landed the ship in an open space within the castle grounds and carried Kassa and my parents inside. Nicholas (although we normally just call him by his last name, Bard) was walking down the hall until he saw the two of us lugging three dead people with us. He quickly got everyone else in the castle to rush in and help.
Skip to a week later - Everybody's okay now, but we learned our lesson for sure: NO MORE AIRSHIIP VOYAGES!
