My two cents worth
Daddy. (A poem)
This is a poem I wrote after watching a History channel program about war stories... this is based off the story about a son that died trying to save his father

Daddy

What do you want to be little Ted
"I want to be like daddy..." Is what he said
Fifteen years ago to that day
Twenty one now what could he say

I'm just like daddy now
Bullets whizzing over head and he wonders how
A comrade fallen not to far
Ted holds what he needs in a little jar

Such courage just like daddy is what he had
A dash into the open thought him mad
A dive, a dip, and a duck, barely making it
In a hurry he pours just a little bit

Off they go- wouldn't daddy be proud
He would remember it from his little cloud
Suddenly one down, then the other
None of the others brave enough to help their brother

As Ted lay next to that man tears filled daddy's eyes
Daddy turned to his little Teddy to say his good byes
Death took them both like a peaceful tide
Father and son- laying side by side.

I know it sucks but I felt like posting it.
