Hidden Secrets
For so long I was cold, hidden behind my frozen walls
Able to look out to the warm world that burns my skin
Reaching out to feel the warmth that only turns to bitter coldness…
Trapped within my own bubble, my own world…
My screams for help fall silent on the wind
Till I found you, through my hobbies, my friends…
Brocken in your own way, yet you rose above them
While I only grew colder from what pained my heart.
The more I tried to push away your strength
The more my once solid walls melted away
But that pain never came…
Even when I thought you where gone from my reach
Your gently smile and rich laughter can brighten my most saddest of days
Though you never seem to try to made that ice fade away
Your touch alone sends a sudden rush of warmth and craving through me
Your kindness draws a my soul closer to the world that was once so far from my grasp
The thought of you makes me smile
Yet the day you asked me that question
My heart finally began to beat again…
Free from it’s icy shell that melted from you and you alone
The urge to be near you replaced the sadness when your near
When your gone the ice starts to wrap around my heart…
Attempting to freeze it once more
All I want it is to feel again and forever with you in my life
And yet I can’t keep you lock up
As if you were a rare gem
I have to let you fallow your own callings
Praying that I wont lose you
I don’t want to return to that frozen world that I came from
Though I can’t see into time to know what happens to us
The one thing I know I’ll never regret is that;
I love you, and you alone
