Right now I'm filling out an application to volunteer at a retirement home near my house. I really need community service hours, so I'm going to stuff some under my belt within the next three weeks. I originally wanted to volunteer at the vet hospital, but I guess the only difference is that I'll be cleaning up elderly poopie instead of kitty poopie.
Besides the filling out of references and my criminal history, I'm a wreck. Yesterday I did something utterly stupid I don't even want to mention it, but I will anyway. When driving home, I backed into a car. I will recount the story of how it happened, although it's probably not hard to guess. I was being stupid and making stupid decisions, and I decided to back in to my driveway the stupidest way possible instead of just pulling in. The neighbors were having a party so there were cars everywhere. As I was backing up the road to turn around, I saw a red car parked next to the house, but I didn't see the car behind it... I suppose it's pretty simple to guess what happened.
Unfortunately, I didn't have insurance yet, so my father is going to have to pay for it out of his own pocket because I sure as hell don't have the money. We already talked to the owner's of the car and they're going to get an estimate tomorrow. They're also charging us for lost wages of the time they have to take off of work to take the car to the shop. Knowing people, they'll probably charge double of what they make. Hell, even though there was no one in the car they're probably going to try to charge us for whiplash.
