I lay on my back with the warm grass under me.
A cool summer breeze makes the summer night a bit less sticky.
I can hear an owl call into the still calm night.
Looking up at the world’s ceiling I see all of the twinkling stars in the endless sky.
It makes me think about how lonely those stars must get, being so far apart all the time.
A warm flutter grows in my chest and trickles throughout my body all the way to the tips of my fingers and toes.
Then something lightly touches my arm as if to remind me.
A warm soft hand hesitantly encloses around mine.
