so i in this entry to my journal, i'm gonna show you some bands, albums, songs, and etc... to see if i can show the world what music should be like
1st off, electro
really, the other day i went to a club, i spent 1 hour and 45 minutes on the same song, then i spent 15 minutes on the next and left, i went to talk to the DJ right before i left, he said he played over 20 songs, how come i only heard 2?
the answer was so simple, the songs we're so alike, i coulnd't diferenciate
if your gonna listen to electro, try to vary, not only trance, or only drum & base
since i don't know much of electro, i'm gonna recomend only a few bands
skazi is damn good, he's an israeli DJ, his main area is trance, but he doesn't stick to it 100% of the time, try to see is you can hear some of his stuff
daft punk is damn famous, but try a small movie made by them, it's called "interstella 5555" it's a colaboration of daft punk's songs with leji matsumoto's animations, it's like a opera rock... only with dance, trance and other styles fo lectro twisted into it, plus a storyline that needs no words said, simply beautiful
next on, punk
emo, is not punk, wannabee is not punk... and by punk, i mean punk rock, punk as a characteristic is another thing
al those band you love and adore, my chemical romance, simple plan, taking back sunday, fallout boy, etc... ARE EMO! NOT PUNK!
and green day and avril lavigne, that everyone seems to consider punks, ARE WANNABEEs
punk is a half dead style, bands like dead kennedys, toy dolls and etc... no longer exist
punk goes beyond only short songs and fast playing, it goes into politics, into your mind, punk music IS a weapon
i know alot about punk, i can recomend a series of bands, punk in rock and punk in attitude, but since your here for music...
go looking for bad religion, dead kennedys and toy dolls, all 3 bands are actuall punk rock... toy dolls doesn't seem punk, but they are, only take things in a humorous way
for more modern bands, search for rise against and NoFX, they are the only modern punk bands i know
punks goes off into many styles, hardcore, post-punk, many many styles, but i don't have time to recomend bands from them all
now it's rap
sincerly, how can you even listen to that modern crap?! it's all about calling women bitches, talking about having money and grills, and how the police are racist, man, get over it, we've heard it before
old rap had a sense into it, it talked about equalty, ideals, many rappers are more punks then most bands you consider to be
listen to tupac, he's a good rapper, i don't like rap actaully, but his songs are better in quality then most i've ever heard
rage against is rap rock, no doubt about it, i advise you take a look at them
there are many good rappers aout there, you just need to go back a few years (please don't look up vannila ice)
i hate to go into this part... metal
metal has been decaing heavily letaly, bands seem each time more like ochestra wannabees, 1st off, melodic metal, in my opinion is not metal, not even close to it
i would recomend iron maiden, but if you say you like metal, and never heard iron maiden, then your iluding yourself
blue oyster cult, queensryche, 2 metal bands, and if you say they are not, your know nothing of metal... yeah... i lol'ed to when i saw blue oyster cult...
now for the grand finalle, the style that has had most decay over the years, it's so changed to bad, that you can't even reckognize what it has become... pop
pop, is like clay, you give it shape through time, unfortunately, in the wrong hands, it can become horrible...
pop is originaly billy idol... david bowie... etc... but all those so called pop bands, of more recent times... eww
backstreet boys, last 3 months, then went away for a few years, then came back... and lasted an extra month...
n'sync... do i even have to begin, they sucked more then a haitian prostitute on promotional saturday... (i love comparing stuff to things like those)
britneys spears, dead
christina aguilera, dead
what ever the ******** was her name, dead
pop singers are ment to fade
look up billy idol... look up david bowie, especially an album called let's dance, i seriously recomend one of his songs... named modern love...
time goes by and s**t happens, it's natural, so try to keep the s**t from hitting the fan right away, someone that sticks to the past has no future, but someone that has no idea of his past, has even less future
i'll admit, i like some recent bands, maroon 5, muse, rammstein, stuff like that, but i try to remember where they came from
