religion
At a choir rehearsal, (yes, I can sing) our directer told his experience going to another church on a Friday night. They were showing this play on two extremely best friends. They both were nearly 18, as the met when they were mere children. One was religious, unlike the other. (I'm just going to make the religious one David and the other Larry. [I don't remember their names]) David never tried teaching Larry religion. Basically at the beginning of the play, Larry was killed in an accident. As expected, David was so shaken by this and started to talk about it with his other friends. After a while of talking with his other religious friend, David decided to go to sleep. Though before he got the chance, the room grew cold as David saw Larry standing by his bed.

David, surprised- "Larry! Your alive!!! How did you-"

Larry, serious in a deep tone-"Why didn't you tell me?"

(David stopped, looking more confused than happy.)

Larry-"Why didn't you tell me?"

(After the same line being repeated a few more times, David realizes Larry was talking about Christianity. Note: This was David's, and also my, religion.)

David quickly started to name reasons- "But there was no time. There was school and my girlfriend-"

Larry- Why didn't you tell me?
(Throughout this entire 2-3 hour play, that's Larry's only line. There are then some flashbacks and other stuff my directed didn't bother to tell us. [This was taking time off our rehearsal] Now were towards the end of the play, back inside David's room.)

Larry- Why didn't you tell me?

David( shamefully realizing what he had done)- I-I'm sorry.

Larry- Why didn't you tell me?

David, now making a reference from John 3-16., trying to make things right.- "For GOD so love the world that-

(Suddenly, a pitch black smoke appeared behind Larry. A gate, leading to hell appeared and opened. With a deafening sound, we see two demons grabbing Larry's and laughing while pulling him in.)

Larry- Why didn't you tell me?

(The gate closes and disappears along with the black smoke. We fade out seeing David alone in his room. The play ends...)
If your wondering why I posted this (which you probably are), you obviously missed the point of the whole play. See, the only reason why Larry went to Hell was b/c David never told him about religion. He had no clue as to Christianity whatsoever. If David actually told him this, the whole thing would have never happened.
If there was a next scene, it would probably be showing David in heaven, ashamed. Having the blood of Larry's body on his hands.
There is actually another thing I wanted you to do other than read this. I want you to honestly answer these two important questions.
1)Do you truly know Jesus Christ?
2) Honestly, if you were to die this very minute, do you thing you would go to heaven?
Don't think of me as some perfect role model. I definitely still can't say yes to the second question. I need to work hard on it.
