The sun filtered through the open window, just as Naruto pulled his shirt over his head. His yellow-blonde hair straight as a pin but messy as a pigsty. He went to the bathroom to brush his teeth while the other slept quietly.
Sasuke hadn’t slept all night, so he knew how restless Naruto had been. Seeing him awake early surprised him. What is he doing? Sasuke asked himself as Naruto went into the bathroom.
Just as Naruto grabbed his frog topped tooth brush he heard a sigh from the bed. Putting down his tooth brush he made his way over to the bed. He put his hand on Sasuke’s delicate porcelain face brushing away the stray hairs. “Are you still sleeping?” Naruto lowered himself to whisper in Sasuke’s ear. He lay down next to him and snuggled closer.
“No.” I answered back “You didn’t sleep well either, I watched you all night. What’s wrong?” as I asked I noticed the change in Naruto’s expression. He didn’t want to tell me.
I wasn’t used to not telling him things so I spilled it. “Grandma Tsunade told me she doesn’t think she has long to live.” I paused nervously, letting my words sink in for the both of us.
