Ember had to wonder what the first thing Kaiden said was, but he hadn't been looking at her, so she figured he was talking to himself. The second part she understood though, but she didn't know how to answer. She was certain that she had somehow been tossed into a fantasy world, either that or this was all a dream. The latter was much more likely. Rubbing the back of her head nervously, she answered. "I'm from Washington."
If Ember was waiting for a reaction, she was sorely dissapointed. Kaiden just nodded and turned his head away from her. He stared at the bar, his eyes glazed and his head resting on top of folding hands. Ember squirmed at the sudden silence and looked around some more. The entire place seemed to be made out of dark wood that was almost reddish in color. The lights weren't bright and most were covered with thin materials, splashing colors on the walls around them. She wondered exactly how such dim lights made the outside glow like it did.
It was then she heard footsteps, coming closer to their table. She ignored them at first, figuring they were heading towards the stairs but when the table shook lightly, she looked up. Kaiden did so as well. It was the three girls who had been on the stage. The red hair had put on a robe, covering up the rather showy purple dress she had been wearing and she was smiling. The blonde too, was giving Kaiden a toothy grin. The brunette however, was watching Ember with an expressionless face that sent a chill up her spine.
Turning away from the gaze, she looked at Kaiden, who, while not smiling, seemed to expect the trio. "Sit." The red head laughed and Ember thought it sounded almost like the little sleigh bells you heard at Christmas. She couldn't help but think that if this woman's voice was anywhere as nice sounding as her laugh, she had to be an exceptional singer. "As polite as every Kaiden. So, what brings you to the Ruby Lagoon?" He said nothing but only gestured a hand towards Ember, who blushed from embarassment and a little anger. The red head cocked her head in confusion and looked at Ember, almost as if seeing her for the first time. Ember attempted to shrink farther into her seat and away from the woman's gaze.
"Ah. I see. What's her name?" Before Kaiden could say anything, Ember stood from her seat and slammed her hands angrily on the table. "I would appreciate it if you would stop talking about me as if I'm not here!" The small group looked at her with amusement and once more Ember felt a flush of embarrasement run through her. She sat down again hurriedly and looked away. "Sorry." The blonde woman laughed and reached across the table to pat her on the head. "No need to be! You have every right to be angry. Namina has a tendency to forget about those around her." Ember looked up into the blonde's smiling face and felt a little relief but almost froze as Namina's voice came out angry. "Be quiet, Lily." Her eyes slid slowly to the red head woman but was happy to see that though her voice seemed angry, she was smiling and her eyes almost twinkled in the lamp light. Namina then turned towards Ember with a smile. "I apologize. I was rude. Please, could you tell me your name?"
