The wind of the current moment had a harsh, chilling bite to it. Walking down a secluded alley of Durem had seemed like a good idea at the time, but with three dark figures staring her down, with bloodthirsting eyes, Raya was definitely doubting her reasoning abilities. With each step of theirs towards her's, she stepped back, that was until her back hit a wall. Preparing for the eventual attack, Raya raised her arms in defense, covering her head and what she could of her neck. Three, seven, twenty seconds passed, yet, nothing happened. Shocked, Raya looked up and saw that the three "monsters" were laying on the ground, motionless, with a fourth figure standing over them, blood dripping off of its hands. When the figure started towards her, Raya, yet again, prepared to fight. "It's alright, I will not harm you," the figure spoke softly, almost as if to not frighten her, "How do I know that you did not just kill them, so you could have me as a meal, all for yourself?" Raya spoke, trying to maintain her composure as best as she could, "I don't like to see innocent blood shed, those three were monsters, rogue vampires, that have killed sixteen people over the past two months." "I guess I have no choice but to thank you for sparing my life from death's grip. I am in your debt," said Raya, with nerves finally calming, "Oh, no need to thank me. I was just doing my part to repent for my existence." In bewilderment, Raya said, " Why would one need to repent for living?" The figure replied, "I am a vampire. I am, but, a curse upon mankind. I need to make up for it somehow." "A vampire slayer that is a vampire, how much more ironic could you get?" "Well, for one thing, my name is Louie Von Helson. I think I just bested that." In disbelief, "Louie Von Helson!? A member of one of the most well-known vampire clans, I cannot believe my ears!" Raya said. "If you would be so kind as to not tell anyone of this event, it would be greatly appreciated," Louie said calmly, "There is only one way of guaranteeing that," Raya replied. "What would that be?" Louie said, growing slightly worried, "That would be to take me out for coffee, or something like that," Raya calmly said, "A date! Why did you have to choose a date of all things?" Louie replied, exasperated. "I have my reasons, they do not matter, all that does is the fact that I will be as a parrot and gossip to everyone about this night, if you do not agree!" Raya said, with a smile starting to spread across her face, "Fine then, what time and day?" replied the defeated Louie, "Friday, at three o'clock at the Latta's Café. Pick me up at this address." Raya said, handing Louie a slip of paper, "See you then!" Raya said with a wink, as she walked passed Louie and out of the alley, "Yeah, yeah, sure. Fun times." Louie said with a slight grimace.
