Candy likes talking in third person now. 8P
At least, in The Hottest Gaians of Gaia Guild. :3
ANYWAY.
Beat Metroid Prime last week.
FINALLY.
Was weird though: I KO'ed the second to last boss while talking to my friend on the phone.
Normally talking on the phone would have caused me to get owned even faster. :/
So then I own the final boss.
Very easy compared to the boss fight just before it I mught add.
And thus, I conquered Metroid Prime.
I'm working through hard mode.
It's actually easier in some parts. 0o
So.
Thursday last week, three days after I conquered Metroid Prime, I get the sequel.
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
Freakin' awesome.
Changed a lot of things, but it's still awesome.
My favorite change is the update to the scanning system.
Now, the ENTIRE object is scannable, meaning you can lock on to any part of it to scan it.
The entire object is colored blue for normal scans, red for required scans (and some Log Book scans), and then turns green after you've scanned it.
A voice even comes up and says "Recorded to Log Book" after you've scanned something that goes into the Log Book. =D
No more little red and orange icons.
Where am I now in the game?
Well, and I'm trying to keep it as spoiler-free as I possibly can at this point, I've collected the third upgrade (excluding missile expansions and energy tanks) and gone back through the portal, and headed to the nearest save station.
I would have kept playing, but American Idol was on.
Blake owns Jordin's a**. D<
ANYWAY.
I would be playing it now, but my sister is on the GameCube playing the game she got.
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.
Pretty fun, once you get used to the battle system and the way the dungeons are set up.
If it weren't for the cutscenes that you see while traveling on the world map, I would say that the game's only storyline was 'collect myrrh to save your village from the maisma'.
But yeh.
I'm almost as obsessed with it as I am with Cloud.
My sister got all mad at me too, since I'm not as far as she is in the game but my character is stronger because I've collected many more artifacts than her.
See, I have the patience to repeat dungeons over and over again to strengthen my character, since I know that once the myrrh tree reactivates itself all of the enemies in that particular area get substantially stronger.
She's all like: Gotta find new dungeons! Gotta find new dungeons! I'm too impatient to collect artifacts, even though I know that they're the only way to make your character stronger aside from getting better equipment!
Psssh. D<
She has no clue how to abuse the artifact system.
Get 'em all while the enemies are weak, since you only get to keep one artifact after defeating the dungeon's boss.
That, and I'm too used to using characters that can completely own things in one to two hits and without getting hurt at all. -points to Pokemon, FF IV, Golden Sun, Baten Kaitos, and DBZ-
She should know that I would naturally go through the same dungeon ten times in a row just to collect the artifact prizes at the end. e.e
