My Opinions Regarding: Dressing Appropriately
There is really only four places in which it is fine to dress in a trashy manner: Night Clubs, Strip Joints, on street corners (for all those in the prostitution business), and at home. Anywhere else, and you may be asking for trouble. For instance, I attended a Spring Sports Awards gathering on Monday and wasn't too shocked, but still disturbed, at the ways some of the girls dress themselves. All of which were either Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen, and one Senior. These girls were wearing skirts that were barely considered long enough to be clothing. One girl even accidentally (or secretly on purpose) ended up presented her butt cheeks to the audience. If there was underwear present, it was small and well hidden. What does this sort of thing say about you?
I myself wore some dress pants and a blouse. A lot of the other girls just wore jeans and casual clothes. I dress up even just for going to school because that is my sense of style. But at least I dress APPROPRIATELY. The most "questionable" articles in my wardrobe are two skirts that come to my middle thigh and a pair of black leather boots. But I always wear these in some sort of classy way. I always make sure that I don't have cleavage falling out all over the place and you can't see my underwear if I bend over a bit. It doesn't hurt to cover yourself a little more and I still am considered an attractive person.
Clothes don't make the beauty, the sexiness, or the style. It is you. If you are a tramp, you dress trampy because it is you. If you are shy and timid, you cover up a little more because it is you. But in this terribly judgmental society, your clothes are your first impression to the unknowing eye. So pull your skirt down a bit! No one wants to see your pretty pink leopard print G string.
