Today I had the wonderful opportunity to play pirates with seven very cool kids from The Boys and Girls Club down here in Texas. xd It was way cool. I was pleasantly surprised to find that, at ages 8 to 10, they still liked to play pretend.
They were all rocking on this weird red balancing beam thingie, and I approached with a Pirate pirate accent and an "Avast me hearties! Who be ye Captain on the ship of The Red Lady?!" One minute was all it took for them to get into it, and soon we were all making like the rocking of the beam swing was the ocean, and I, as Iron Morgan Cash, gave the sailing gibberish orders on behalf of the great and merciless Captain Taryn.
As soon as First Mate Taryn sighted land, we all of us swam ashore of the island quickly, what with all the sharks that were liable to chase after us for food if we weren't land-logged as soon's we were able.
We climbed the steep and sandy beach to a hut the Cap'n had prepared here on her last journey, an' immediately we sent about unfoldin' 'er map o' the island. Sure as shootin', there was the "X", an' we was close enough ta make a run for it and dig it up right quick, no troubles.
Yet, oh! How had the captain forgotten to forewarn us of native dangers to the place! Cannibals!! Stooping, fast blighters that chased after us if we but moved when in their vision! Sally after sally we made, loosing the honorable sailors Megan and Devon on the way of it. Both were buried ceremoniously to the sea to their next adventures, and the rest of us were in dire straights. Sailor Ashley had made her way, lonesome-like to the treasure site in preparation for a final run of the whole of us. I, Iron Morgan Cash, and the great and merciless Captain Taryn among them.
And finally, success! We made it back to the fortified hut with only one of the many chests, but oh, what treasure we found there within! Emeralds! Rubies! Gold and Silver Florins and Pieces of Eight! 'Twas enough for the lot of us to split betwixt us with nary a worry. So, we handed the treasure off to Sailor Devon II, and we all of us made a mad dash for the ship, with much splashing and danger, the cannibals gaining right behind us! First Mate Taryn and me was the last aboard, and we set sail immediately, losing the flounderin' cannibals in our wake. We set course fer Tortuga, and that, my friends ended another adventure of Captain Taryn and the Crew of The Red Lady, where they risked grave and perilous danger for Glory, Honor, and, most of all, GOLD!!!

Various Cannibals were played by my good friend Josh, who is most skillful in grunts, spear-throwing, and amusing children. I have nary had this deal of fun for a great many years. I am still feeling it in me bones.
YO HO!! AND REALLY BAD EGGS!!!
