Shiro reacted to the pink rays over the horizon with much relief, finally being able to see. Apparently, the creature had came to find Sabishi, being a messenger of the time-witch who had sent them on this journey, It was not able to express its 'coming in peace', only able to pass on the message. So now came the task of finding Sain.
With everyone spreading out in pairs, Shelby and Roux, Shiro and Sabishi, the rocky hill was soon searched, revealing a dark passage hidden by weeds and thorns. Pieces of black leather hooked on the sharp thorns turned out to be part of Sain's cloak as the company trudged further into the dark.
"Can't see."
Shelby complained before Sabishi handed her a match and lighter.
"Thanks." Was the sullen reply as they neared the center. The heat was intolerable and Shelby put out the flame. Then they realised magma veins surrounding them, lava glowing in various areas.
A volcano.
