READ THE TITLE!! This is a summary of all the places in Europe I've been to so far, and what I've liked/dislike about said places. Enjoy!! :0
FIRST STOP - Heathrow Airport in London, England.
- It's ghetto, don't EVER go there.
- There are one or two other airports in London, chose them.
All in all . . . . . SUCKY. People there are rude, and the airport isn't nice.
SECOND STOP - Frankfurt Airport, Germany
- It's a good airport.
- Learn basic German, it helps.
It was ok.
THIRD STOP - Paris, France
- Lovely architecture.
- It has plenty of amazing places to go to.
- Not much parking space.
- If you go to the Eiffel Tower, be prepared to stand in line. Forever.
- Good food.
The city was AMAZING. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. But when we were driving to the Eiffel Tower, there were HUGE signs that had sex, naked women, etc. on the front of the strip clubs and s**t. It wasn't very censored. I was laughing the whole time. XD Like I said before, if you plan to go on the Eiffel Tower, be very, very buff, or patient. There are two lines, one to walk up the stairs, or one to use the elevator. The Eiffel Tower is ******** huge, so not many people were using the stairs, and the lines for the elevator were LLLLLOOONNNNGGGG. When I finally got up there, as expected, it was breath taking. You could see the entire city!! In the park below there is a huge heart cut into the grass. I didn't get to see much past that, because it was late, but the city is awesome at night. Plus I ate REAL FRENCH FRIES!! 8D <33333333
FOURTH STOP - Brussels, Belgium
- Once again, pretty architecture.
- AWESOME chocolate.
- It's a cool place, but not many people know about it.
When we first got there I went to this huge church, I don't know what it was called, but it was cool. There was this sexist piece of decoration in there though. D: It was a really big podium that had Adam on one side, Eve on the other, with the serpent wrapping around the whole thing. On Adam's side of the stairs, there were eagles and lions on the railing. On Eve's side there were demons and s**t. She even had a skeleton next to her. >:0 Anyway, I looked around, and lit some candles in respect. After the church, we went to the museum next door. It had alot of information on currency through out history. Unfortunately, the family didn't seem to find it as interesting as I did, so we left before I could see half of the place. -_- Afterwards, we ate, and I bought junk, and went to this uber cool chocolate store. I believe it was named Chocopolis. XD No, really. It was. :0 The ladies there were nice, and there were these rad huge chocolate bunnies, chickens, and bears. <3333333 I bought a customized chocolate box for Dianne and Daniel too. :3 After that we went to the . . . . . . . town square, I should call it? Well, it seemed like one. There were four huge decorated buildings, and it was cool, so I took plently of pictures. Belgium was awesome.
FIFTH STOP - Trier, Germany
- Take the tour train.
- Nice people.
- Never ear sour kraut. It's sour crap.
We parked near a train station, so we walked a little towards the main road. When we got there, there I saw the Porta Nigra. In the Roman Era, it was used as a gate to Trier. From the south side the stone martial looks black, hence Nigra. The tour guides dress up in traditional Roman attire, which I thought was cool. I saw one guide in one of those dress things, when he stood up on one of the pieces of rubble to speak, everyone gasped. I guess they saw something they shouldn't have. XD I bought these cool wire sculptures for my friends from this cool Malaysian merchant, then we went on the tour train. It took us all around Trier, so I saw alot. After the tour we ate and shopped.
SIXTH STOP - Amsterdam, Holland, Netherlands
- Marijuana is legal there.
- Take a ride in the canal thingy.
- Go to the market. People are nice there.
We started walking around, but then it started raining pretty badly, so we took shelter in a toy store. XD Bought pizza and toys, then ran back to the car. After it stopped we drove to the annex where Anne Frank hid from the Nazis. It was pretty cool, and we actually made it through a museum for once!! c: I read her diary, and by the way she wrote, I thought the annex was a small, but it was pretty big. 0_0 I read an article today that Anne's cousin release all sorts of letters and documents. More for the museum I guess. I wanted to go on the canal on the boat tours, but we "couldn't", according to the family. D:
SEVENTH STOP - Mount Pilatus, Switzerland . . .
- The souviners and food are expensive.
- The hot dogs totally rule.
- Be prepared for a long trip up . . . . and down.
- Bring a jacket.
Well like I said before, the food was expensive. In the vending machines, one coke was like 4 Euros, and they're usually 1,8 Euros. Yes, I'm suppose to use a comma, not a period. It's a Euro, not dollar. Oh well. Yeah, the ride up was in a small cable car. Which wasn't bad at all. Then we went on a bigger cable car, that fit up to twenty people. It was ******** scary. When we went over the first mountain ridge, we went into the fog, which freaked me out because I could not see anything. I heard seven people curse, and everyone reacted. XD When I got up there, it was cold, yet warm. :0 You could see the Alps, which was pretty awesome. I walked up the stairs to one of the lookouts. The view was even better, plus the birds were really used to the tourist, and got pretty close. There was this cone thing covered in shingles, and lots of people had signed it. I wrote something too . . . XD After that we bought some stuff from the gift shop. That's when I found out that Switzerland's symbol is the cow bell, so there were alot of cow merchandise. Which is totally awesome, because cows are my favorite animals . . . . . EVER. :0 After, I ate yummy hotdogs, and took pictures of the Ricola dudes/chicks!! 8D Well, they didn't shout 'Ricolaaaaaa!!', or anything . . . . but they were the same people with the big horns, and Dutch-looking outfits. I took pictures with them too. c: There was a choir too, they were pretty good. There were also these two dudes playing a harmonica that looked like a giant tooth brush. :] Going back down the mountain was cool, we went in this train thingy. I saw people hiking down the whole way. I think they're crazy. That mountain took like fifty minutes to get up to by the cable cars. Then we went back to my sister's house. c:
EIGTH STOP - Cochem, Germany
It's a little river town about an hour from where my sister lived. It was extremely fun, and I ate ice cream!! =D We ate at this little resturant then walked up to Cochem Castle. On the way there we stopped at a winery, because apparently my brother-in-law collects wine. -_- I took one wiff of the place and almost puked. I've tasted wine before and it tastes like s**t . . . . . on fire. Well we walked ALL the ******** way up only to find, the stupid place was closed. Then, we walked back down the bloody freaking hill, got ice cream, and took a few retarded pictures. X3 Then I went to my sister house and packed. :0
