Everyone likes fortune cookies, right? Ok, so maybe not you, but you. Yeah you. The one in a really tacky shirt that's orange and hideous shades of green and brown with a hint of blue.
But anyway, a lot of people like fortune cookies. But sometimes the fortune cookie doesn't like you eek Yes I know. A shock, but it's true. Like this one time, I got a fortune cookies that said, "Oops, wrong cookie." Another time, I got one that said this: "Come back later, I'm sleeping. (Yes, cookies need their sleep, too.) One time I invited over a friend to open up about 30 of those fortune cookies.
Now before I continue, I would like to point out that the fortune cookies I get have a word or two in English and they are translated to Chinese do you can learn Chinese. Now back to what I was saying.
I have a habit of reading that part first and then the fortune. Well that's nice, except when the one time I don't do that and I read the fortune first then the word, well, here's my fortune (which me and my friends still laugh about even though it happen about 5 months ago):
"You will get what your heart desires." The word on the back was "intimate". Wow. I think I'll stick to reading the word first. But what made it even funnier was that my friend got a fortune cookie that said, "Kiss the person sitting next to you."...I think I'll pass. So will my friend. But it's as funny now as it was then. I think the back of that fortune cookie said big brother. I don't remember...
If you’re lucky, you'll get a fortune cookie that makes you happier. Like the ones that say, "You will inherit a small amount of land in the near future." My friend got that one.
All in all(what ever that means), I would have to say that fortune cookies don't like me very much...maybe because I wait untill I have a whole bunch(more than 15) until I open them. Doesn't take that long, maybe a week. I don't eat the cookie...
