I now have four shoutbox designs, which can be viewed in this journal entry...
The first isn't mine, the second was only temporary, the third was meant to be more permanent, but I only used it a few hours, and the fourth is gaia instant messenger themed...With this one I got a little more detailed, so it turned out crappy when I turned it into a jpg, but you get the basic idea...I like my design for gaia instant messenger because its all one window...You have the avatar/logout to the right, below that you have your friendslist, to the left of that are the smileys and font options, further to the left is the text box, where you type your message, and then above that, your conversations are displayed...You have tabs for each conversation, so you don't have 12 windows up to talk to your friends...You don't actually type in the text box, by the way...It's just for looks...
