Summer is that time of year when you don't have to put up with the many twits that plague your local school. You can go to sleep and not have to worry about waking up until 10:00am. It is a time of momentary rest and relaxation for a number of people. For Gaians, it is a time of depravity and a lack of anything new to do around GaiaOnline.
But what's this? The long awaited Tattoos! Another quest?! New store items?!?! Can it be that Gaia has given us something to do during out little summer break?
Yes, they have and, similarly to what I did a while ago, I'd like to take a quick dip into the newest things that have come to GaiaOnline.
First up is Tattoos. Utilizing the poor old inks that no one really liked or cared about previously, you can turn in ink wells and a small fee to purchase tattoos for your avatar! They are not permanent and work just like any other item on Gaia, you go to your inventory, click on the item, and viola! And when you're done, just remove it like any old stuffy item. The range of tattoos stretches only as far as your ink supply goes, ranging from simple sunburst tattoos (like the one on my exposed belly) to extravagant dragons (See the gaian 'Osiris for an example)! The best part is: when you have two or more colors, you can combine them to make even more colors! Yellow and green make lime, blue and black make dark blue, orange and yellow make gold, and many more (I just ran out of ink so I couldn't find anymore >< wink !
Next is the newest Mimsy Quests. Simple enough, visit the page, watch the trailer, and get the prize. The Mimzy Aura is actually a neat item, truly. Kinda blue and swirly and stuff, reminds me of the Chidori and Rasengan from the Naruto anime. What sucks, is that you have to either taken part in the last Mimzy quest, or own one in your inventory. They are about 1,000G right now, which sucks fore newbies.
And last is the new swim wear! At the Barton Boutique, Gambino Outfitters, and the Durem Depot, swim trunks, bikinis, swimming paraphernalia, and summer dresses are being sold to both sexes. Do you know that that means? You don't? It means that, for the next while, you may see a few guys running around in bikini bottoms and tops, and generally cross-dressing in a very humorous manner. Sadly, you beloved Shad Croly will not be joining in the sexually androgynous festivities, not like when he first met Nick from Gaia's most popular soap opera: All My Gaians.
Apparently, the all-mighty Lanzer and his team kinda screwed up somewhere, and all of the swimsuits layer under everything I own, even the basic gray boxers. Which sucks. But mark my words, as soon as it's finished, you may see me running around Gaia in a black bikini Speedo for a few days.
Just a heads up.
[EDIT] Also, watch out for naked people. The GCD was at it again and they found another naked glitch with both the tattoos and the swim wear, so now girls and flash their breasts and the guys can show off their pixilated boy bits. Cracks me up, personally, but some of you all might find that offensive, so just keep a lookout.
And, for the record, I don't know how to trigger the naked glitches. So don't ask. stare
