I recently came into the knowledge of something that has had me a little depressed as of late.
I am in Concert Choir at my school, which is the most famed of all the choirs in the school. It seems that, every year, the choir gets to go on a trip somewhere and we get to perform in cool festivals and concerts and whatnot. Well, last year, we didn't have a trip, but this upcoming year, we will.
According to what my choir teacher, Mrs. K, says, we will be going either to Chicago, New York, or London, England. Personally, I want to go to London, because I think it would kick a**, but Chicago would also be sweet, since my grandparents live there...well, they live in Hammond, Indiana, but it's not that far from Chicago.
In any case, my biggest problem, is that the event is going to cost, at the very least, $1,500 USD. That sucks, since I don't know if I and my family will be able to afford it. Even with the possibility of saving up this summer, participating in fund raisers, and all that stuff, it still seems like the budget for going would be too much to afford.
