We called my grandmother last Monday and she asked me if I was happy. Come to think of it, every time we call her, she always ask me if I am happy. Then I just sort of mumble that I am okay.
The truth is, I'm a really sad person. I hide my sadness by being happy. I watch funny and comedic shows to remind me what it is like to laugh or giggle. I watch cartoons most of the time to remind me of my inner child, the one that's always happy regardless of his or her surroundings.
My bed is filled with plush toys and dolls. Even though they make me happy, it is just temporary.
Sometimes, I stay close to the dogs because they remind me of being happy as well. Dogs always seem to be happy and carefree.
I want to be happy too.
