Chapter 1: Night off


I sat alone, which wasn't something I usually did. I was the life of the party, but tonight. . .something was different. I couldn't put my finger on it, maybe it was my drink, or something like that. I stared at the wall to my right, wondering about tonight. The wall was busted and broken due to all the fighting in the bar. I turned my eyes to the bartender, he was cleaning some glasses and chatting with the ladies. Tonight wasn't a fast night as it usually had been, there were people, but not the talkative type which usually talk to me. Tonight, I was alone. I sighed and I looked down into my drink. There, in a small cup, there were four ice cubes floating in Volka with blood. I smiled with my teeth reveiling as I drank it down like if I was in a contest. I watched the bartender re-fill my drink, he was having fun with the ladies. I lit my cig and smoked. Yes, I am a Vampire, "Nightmare of the Night". But, I wasn't active. . .This was strange for me. I thought for a long time, untill the bar door opened. Now, usually, it would be as loud as hell. But, this time, it was quiet like a mouse. The creaks alerted me, then, I saw her. When my eyes laid on her, I fell in love. She walked in wearing heels, her pants traced her movement with every step she took. Her shirt as free as the wind with a jacket on. She took an empty seat next to me and ordered blood. She smiled at me and spoke with golden words: "Hi there, I,m Yakari. And what's you're name?"
