The soft white smoke of Star's first illusion curled around her body, quickly disapating as she stepped into the circle of light cast by the fire. She reached up and gently tucked some hair behind her ear, checking to be sure that her large flower was in place. It's intense orange and reds gave it the appearance of being set aflame. Star's eyes glistened and the gold that adorned her body glinted in the light. She gave a dazzling smile and started to twirl around, strumming her harp. Her hair flared out around her as she danced, stepping to the rythm of the music. She moved her body freely and glanced across the circle. Her best friend and lover winked at her as she shook the tamborine. As Star finished the dance her skirt settled back into place after spinning around her. She bent down to collect some of the gold coins thrown at her then suddenly felt a jab in her side and was knocked over. A tall man stood over her with a smirk. Star's lover rushed over, using her body to sheild Star. The young gypsy didn't understand what was going on as she heard the man jeer at her for her light skin coloring, and her golden blond hair. Tears of confusion swelled to Star's eyes, for being a gypsy was all she had ever known. A fight insued, Star's lover suffered from multiple blows, while Star herself was knocked around and bruised. The rest of the caravan rushed over to help them, but the man grabbed Star's lover at the last second. A packet was thrown to the ground and the familiar white smoke swirled up around the girls. Star slowly guided off into the smoke, disapearing with the rest of the gypsy caravan, her arm hanging by her side limp holding her harp. Her face remained expersionless as she left her lover for the last time.
