Those who do not fear their blade are not fit to wield it.~ Shuhei Hisagi
CHAPTER 6

The ship was no more than 300 ft. off the ground. Just like TV, a green light hit the ground like a spotlight. I thought of all those shows like Star Trek and Stargate and said to myself, "I really get to live this crazy life!"

From the source, a figure decended. as it got closer, I saw it was a man. A tall man! At least 6'5''. He landed in front of my porch only 4 stairs away from us. This was getting more and more unreal to me. I was still hoping to wake up. We all know I won't because I'm not sleeping.

Anarya bowed her head and said, "Your highness! My emperor! How nice it is to see you!" yet her eyes were teary.

I stood there trying not to look shocked. Seriously? I sat there looking brain dead. he made his way up the stairs and towered over my 5'8'' petrified body.

"And who, may I ask, is this?" he inquired leaning over me. He actually meant no harm, but his expression could've fooled anybody! His stare was cold as Anarctic ice and seemed to stare into my very soul.

If I took a step back, I'd feel weak so I held my ground. "My name is Brandon," I said ina strong voice. "Anarya and I are friends and I won't let you execute her!" I said standing in front of her.

He cocked his head to one side and asked,"Why would I ever do that?"

I looked at Anarya and asked,"What else have you lied about?" in a normal tone. I wasn't mad, pissed, or even annoyed! I guess I'm just that into her!

"Nothing! That was it!" she whispered. She was right. She began to fade until finally she was invisible.

"So you're not gonna kill her for telling me where you're from?" I asked. I needed some closure.

He chuckled and replied, "I reassure you! That is not the Cantharian way!" With that I relaxed and he called Anarya forward. She reappeared as she passed me and went down two steps.

"Why did you make up such lies?" he asked compassionately.

Anarya kept her head down and voice low. "I didn't want him to question my reluctance to return to Teramire! But he found out through my 'sleep talking' as he called it!" she explained.

The emperor let out a sigh and put his large hand on her shoulder. They began to walk toward the ship's beam.

Anarya stopped and asked him, "Could Brandon come with us?" with hope in her heart.

The man paused and finally said, "If he so chooses, so be it!" Then I ran in the house and into the kitchen. My parents had not moved, still very confused.

"Mama, Dad. I have a very important question to ask!" I said slowly. Their silence gave me the go ahead. "Can I go live with Anarya on her planet? I'll visit as often as you want!" I pleaded.

My dad leaned back and grinned, "Well, if you love her that much, go ahead!" he confirmed. Yes! Now for the real answer! Mama.

She looked up at me and said, "As long as you don't forget us, I'm fine with it!" and she smiled. We said our good-byes with tears, kisses and hugs. Even Murphy got his share. Scooter was nowhere to be found.

He's my big brother and I love him to death but I had no time. I dashed back outside and the ship was still there. I ran and jumped into the beam which sucked me up into the craft.

I closed my eyes and when I opened them, I was on the ship. Anarya was standing there. she jumped on me and I caught her. She hugged me and wrapped her legs around my waist.

I put her down and we gazed into each others eyes. The ship began to rise and speed up. I held her hands in mine and saod, "No more lies OK?"

"Got it!" she said with her famous smile.
