CHAPTER 7

Anarya took me on a tour of the ship. I t was a medium sized ship according to her.

"How far is the Cantharian Empire from Earth?" I asked. You know, just to see how far I was gonna be from home.

"Only twelve other galaxies stand between us and you. We're already half-way there!" she told me. It hadn't been very long at all either. She also told me that would be an hour of flying. I was suddenly very tired. I didn't even eat!

Anarya and I sat in a passenger room alone. It was hard for me to stay awake. She gently guided my head to her lap. I didn't object either. As I slept, she stroked my head and smiled to herself.

"W-Wha?" I grumbled. I sat up a little to see myself in a bed with huge fluffy pillows. The huge room was shaped like a dome and sunlight poured in through a large glass door. On the opposite side was a wooden door.

I rubbed my eyes and my head hit the pillow putting me back to sleep. As I slept, the door opened and the wooden door slowly opened. A girl poked her head inside. She saw me, snatched her head back, and turned to two other girls.

"So? What did you see?" one asked.

"It's true! There is a boy! He's still sleeping!" she whispered.

"So let's wake him up! Then we can get some answers!" the other one suggested.

As they touched the door, a familiar voice came out clearly. "You'll do no such thing! Leave him be!" Anarya ordered. Her expression was deadly serious. She actually had just woken up herself. She found these three on her way to check on me.

These three were Sara, Tera, and Braya. Sara and Tera are twins. Braya is their little sister. The three daughters of the Head of War. Anarya forced them down the hall and around the corner.

"The boy is mine! Stay away! The emperor's orders were to let hi rest as much as he wants!" she said. The three little spies walked away whispering amongst themselves. Anarya put her back against the wall and slid into a sitting position.

I opened my eyes once again and this time dragged myself out of bed. I wandered over to the glass door to see it led to a balcony. I walked out and took in the scenery. It was a sight of gigantic buildings in the foggy distance. They were built on hills and cliffsides. It was unreal! Yet, not!

I looked to my left to see another door I carefully opened it to see it was a bathroom! Everything seemed to be ready to use. So I cleaned up and searched the room for clothes. I found them where else but the closet!

None of the clothes were mine but they were things I'd wear! It was kinda creepy! Now I thoght, "OK, now what?" The obvious choice was to explore! I may be lazy, but I'm curious and adventurous by nature!

I left the room and headed the opposite direction Anarya was in. As I walked, I saw things you'd normally see in a castle or mansion. Paintings, things on pedistles, you know? There were also these huge, intricate, graceful markings painted on the walls.

As I looked on and walked, I bumped into someone! "Oh! Sorry! Didn't see you or anything!" I apologized. I was now being stared down by a boy. We seemed to be the same height and most likely age.

He finally spoke. "Now you listen here! Do you know who you are dealing with?" he demanded an answer. I already knew but my answer was, "No who?" Bad time to be sarcastic!

He starts yelling at the top of his lungs! "I am Sir Emperor Larian Ikalis I! I rule this galaxy and everything in it!!" is what he said.

"Not unless you marry me you aren't or don't!" a familiar voice rang out. I turned to see my girlfriend! Sweet beautiful Anarya! She ran and hugged me and shot a face of disgust Larian's way.

Her smile returned at the sight of me and she hugged me again. She was making hi super jealous! It was pretty funny! He kept his smug little attitude and put on a smirk. "I assume this is the boy I've heard so...annoyingly much about!" he said.

"Same here!" I retorted letting Anarya go. We were now in another stare down.

"It's no new thing for Anarya to run away like she does, but to bring back a souvenier? Unheard of! You've also broken your distance record! 12 galaxies I hear!" he teased with that same smirk.

"Shut-up Larian!" Anarya snapped.

"Don't get angry now! You're not even in trouble!" Larian said. Then he shot a glance at me. "So peasant! What's your story?"

That set me off. In mid-step, the female grabbed my arm and pulled me back. "Don't waste energy Brandon! I know you're better than that!" Anarya whispered in my ear.

She was right. Better to cuss him out than to beat his a** and leave physical evidence! "I'm not, never have been, and never will be a peasant! Not even by your standards! You ignorant, cry-baby a**, b*****d!" I said in a low tone. "Come on Anarya! I'm starving!" I said. She held my arm as she led me to breakfast.
