The Heart of the Angel
Isn't it funny, how people say they don't want power, yet kill others to get it? Comments gladly accepted!
Elspeth did not take the insult well, but controlled her tongue. "Pardon Sssir, but the Chromaticsss are here of their own free will. We will pull out if we do not ssssee a desssirable victory. Your lasssst failure was an embarrassssment, and if we did not sssee a valuable ally againsssst The Jusssstice and hisss missserable followerssss, we would have left long ago." She hissed, watching the path down which her sons had taken off. She may insult them and treat them like fools in front of everyone, but knew her boys were smarter than Megatron gave them credit for. She loved them dearly, and wasn't about to let some outlander insult their intelligence when he had not seen them participate in actual combat. "My sssonsss will get the job done well. They will likely enlissst the help of Ssslean'sss offssspring. A wissse move, if they do choossse. . ."

It was true as Elspeth said. The ten breeds of dragon were split evenly down the middle, and waging a little war of their own over who ruled the Earth's skies and bountiful treasures. Elspeth had led the Chromatics since the days of old, securing victories here and there. Justice Ramses ruled the Metallics who stood for his odd sense of good deed and will. One wanted to co-exist with humans, one did not. It was all a matter of opinion, and the war had gone on for so long that they had finally reached a stalemate. Neither side had been able to overpower any part of the other for the last two hundred years. And then Slean the Crafty had gotten wind of new comers to the planet, giant metallic beings also separated and fighting each other. None knew what place they had come from, but the chromatics saw opporitunity. If they could help this Megatron win his war, then he could help them with theirs. The metallics would be pressed for luck at the least. Any damage the Decepticons could do to them would please Elspeth greatly. The only chromatic to object to enlisting help was Katan the Ambiguous, and his only daughter had agreed with him. Katan could not be trusted, but had remained quiet after voicing his own opinions.

"So, ye say ye want us ta help out?"

"Ye drive a hard bargain there, Michael boy. I'm not sure what's the better reward."

"Humiliating the House, or the Sword of Joanne of Arc. Both priceless pieces."

"But Mum's already got enough historical treasures as it is."

"You guys don't need to tell your mother." Jacoba said, stuffing his hands in his pockets. The twin son and daughter of Slean the Crafty looked to each other with musing faces. It would not be hard, but there would be a lot of digging involved if they didn't want to be seen. Or maybe they wouldn't have to dig. But getting into the Cathedral unnoticed would be a task in itself, especially if they didn't want to wind of Shrine meat themselves. Yuu put a finger to her chin. Roushi scratched the back of his head with an elongated coat sleeve.

"A very hard bargain." Both of them said. "And all because Mummy won't feed you if you fail. We'll do it!"
