Clothing Engineering
It occurs to me that someone clever enough could use general engineering in many fields beyond the mechanical or chemical. I was just looking at information on corseting which according to wikipedia is back on the rise. If someone had studied trigonomentry and the basics of anatomy, they could make a killing designing and producing custom maid clothing for individuals unsatisfied with mainstream clothing. Mainstream clothing does not after all cater to the subtle and obvious variations of one persons body to anothers and thus if someone truly wanted to look good while enhancing their bodies natural features, customized clothes would be the way to go. Or if someone didn't really care about doing it for others, they could but simply study these things on their own, make it into a hobby just for their sole benefit and tell anyone that was too lazy to do it for themselves to bug off. Tailors could make a very big come back with modern day knowledge.

But this deals with both outter and under wear. For see if a man or a woman wanted to not look so bulbous, they could wear a corset made out of the right materials to suit their needs underneath their outter wear so that no one would have to know, but those they cared to tell. I'd probably suggest neoprin or something light, breathable, and comfortable to wear on the skin for long hours at a time. Velcro, buttons, lace, whatever was deemed more conveinient for the user of the device in strapping it on. Variations of tribal clothing such as the kimono, cotehardi, or sari could also be used to achieve such personal effects as these types of clothes tend to have layers to them. Warmer climates = thinner, colder climates = thicker.
