Alone and laying on her bed,
Releasing words from her head.
A lonely girl writes a letter,
To the ones who knew her better.
Trickling down her cheek,
Her tears begin to speak.
The story of her pain,
Of loss without gain.
Ink flows along the page,
Freeing words from their cage.
From her wrists a liquid flows,
A painful mark which nobody knows.
A stain forms upon her bed,
Hiding words never said.
Fluttering slowly, her eyes begin to glaze,
As she enters a dreamy haze.
Her hand goes limp as her pen falls,
Her eyes go dark as death calls.
Black curls rest around her face,
An eerie silence deafens this place.
A whisper’s heard in the night,
Giving truth to this deathly sight.
A life’s been taken to end the pain,
A memory’s been left in a blood red stain.
