In the shadows of the alleys of Paris, among the many dens and hideouts for refugees of great wars, lay the court of thieves. Those who belonged to this sect were called the Le Chat thieves, or Cat thieves.
The cat thieves used cats, black cats, to help them. Cat thieves and cats, no matter what color, share a special, unusual bond and mutual friendship that lasts to this day. The cats closest to the cat thieves were black, blacker than the darkest night. They had unusual silvery eyes that were said to hold the souls of thieves long gone.
In the court of thieves, there had to be one king. But due to a immense hunt by the royale guards, the thieves were thrown into disorder, king lost. Tonight would be a sspecial night for every thief in the entire country, rogue or not. Tonight a new king would be chosen from the five master thieves: Sera, Ashel, Zack and...The Cat Lady.
The cat lady was a rogue thief. Though she, like all other rogues, did not share her profits and loot with the court, she abided by their rules and was accepted by the court as an ally. But what truly set her in a different class was that she never accepted apprentices. She herself had been self-taught.
Tonight all five stood together high above the other thieves on the roofs of Notre Dame, each acknowledging the other with a wary respect and a slight nod.
None were spared the indignity of being stared down by the other. All stood equal today.
I never got round to finishing this, and don't think I ever will. Typing violence is difficult. xP
