short stories
I plan to think of ideas for writing/typing a story. My stories will include fiction and if I work hard enough, I may write an entire story.
chapter 5 The first day ends
Atreus turned around and walked out the door with Methodios close behind. "So what are we going to do, just go to each outpost and kill off all the workers?" Methodios asked.
"You sure do ask a lot of questions." Atreus responded, sounding annoyed.
"Sorry, but we need a strategy." Methodios said.
"To be honest," Atreus said, "I don't have a plan."
Methodios was shocked. "What do you mean you don't have one? Your the leader of the rebellion, don't we even have an army? What if-"

"Stop!" Atreus shouted. Methodios did stop, he had the feeling that he was pushing his luck too far with this guy, but he was curious. "Lets start over." Atreus began. "I'm not sure about the empires army, how their outposts are set up, or anything else that detailed, so my only real plan is to slash and burn."
"Not much of a plan." Methodios muttered.
"What?" Atreus asked.
"Nothing, where are we headed anyway?" Methodios asked.

Atreus turned around and pointed down the road, "down there is the first outpost of the empire, we can start there and continue down the road." Methodios looked down the dark road, the stretch of houses just stopped, and a wooden fence was built in front of the road to keep unsuspecting villagers from wandering down that dark path.

Atreus started walking towards the fence, when Methodios remembered the shade-like creatures! "Wait!" Methodios called.
"What is it this time?" Atreus asked, obviously impatient.
"Remember the shade Solon described in his note?" Methodios asked.
"Yes what about it? I can take it out with one arrow." Atreus responded while patting his quiver of arrows on his back.
"But they only come out during the night," Methodios protested, "If we attack during the day we'll have a better chance of success."

Atreus stopped and thought about this for a minute, Methodios just hopped that he would agree and let them sleep for the night, he was tired after all he went through today. "I guess your right," Atreus responded with a smile, "No wonder Solon chose you, you may ask a lot of questions but when it comes to thinking, your the best here."

Methodios nodded and smiled, he was starting to like Atreus. Together, they walked to Atreus's house and agreed to meet there early in the morning. After they said their good-byes, Methodios walked towards his house while Atreus went into his house and closed the door. But one thought was still troubling Methodios, he didn't know how vast the empires army was. There could easily be thousands waiting at each outpost.

Methodios decided to worry about that thought in the morning. As he walked up to his house, he turned and looked at the dark path they would be taking in the morning. After staring at it, he turned, opened the door, walked inside, and fell asleep on his bed.

Methodios didn't sleep well, it was still morning when he woke up to the sounds of footsteps on the floor. He quickly spun around and came face to face with the shade he saw the other day. How did he get in? Methodios thought. Then he remembered the front door! He never shut the door after he entered the house, but there wasn’t much time to think about it, because the curved blade the shade held was now coming down on him, fast.
