I'm just going to map out the plot for my latest fanfic idea here. ^^

Characters-
Main- Karupin: A talking, flying black cat with the power of snow. Karupin is Fujishima's 'Familiar'. Dislike by the teachers, he usually goes out of his way to annoy them.
Fujishima: A snow/ice shinigami often dressed in white and grey. She travels with Karupin and has a weird attraction to curry.
Others-
Ann-chan: A quarrelsome young girl who has befriended Fujishima. If you hear a loud noise it will probably be Karupin and Ann arguing or fighting. She has the ability of fire.
Setting: Cross Academy, a high school for students with abilities.

A loud chattering was heard as the steady stream of students filed out of science class. Three in particular stood out. Ann, the pyro-human, me, Fujishima, the shinigami, and weirdest of the weird, a talking black cat on Fujishima's beanie hat. All three were dressed in the official Cross academy uniform, other than Karupin, who just wore the red tie around his neck.
As usual, the two are arguing, and I'm caught between them.
I'm Fujishima Yukata, and the winged cat on my head right now is Karupin, my familiar. The girl is Ann. The three of us have had our destinies mysteriously entangled together since the day we met. On the first day of school we'd gone out for a Yakisoba* bun to share. There had been only one left, and Ann-chan punched me out of the way. And like the first time we three skipped class, we'd ended up in the sick bay side by side. Ann-chan and Karupin share a strange talent for arguing. Not the perfect mix as my familiar still bears a grudge against her for that last yakisoba bun. Thanks to some coconut-shell brain teacher, we've now been assigned as science lab partners.
"I tell you, you can't touch acids!"
"Can so!"
"Well that's because you can use fire to protect your hands!"
"So I'm right!"
"Not!"
"Right!"
"Not!"
You kinda get the idea, don't you? One often wonders what'll make them stop arguing. Maybe an apology, but both of them sre so hot headed I doubt they'll ever say that.
"Still holding a grudge about that Yakisoba bun, are you?"
"Why would I cry about it? It'd be such a pain in the butt!"
"You're a cat, you're supposed to say pain in the tail dimwit!"
"Like you said I'm a cat! I'm not a dimwit you are!"
"Says who?"
They've pretty much said everything there is to say, you think? Well...no! Truth is, Ann-chan and Karupin have to longest track record for arguing. Even when they're eating, they race to see who can eat faster, which'll always result in another quarrel as Karupin loses out. He's a cat, duh.
