At lunch today,
I didn't feel hungry,
So I didn't go with Amy to the Cafeteria.
Instead,
I went outside--
--Where I found everyone sitting in our usual spot.
Upon getting there I was tackled by a few people,
As usual, ;D
And then I quickly became cold.
So,
I zipped up my jacket,
And put my hood on my head.
I then tied the strings from the hood together,
And then tried to warm myself up a little bit more.
Everyone kept going on with conversations and stuff,
And eventually,
Adam placed a penny in the hole that was created from the strings.
Upon doing so, he jokingly asked me "Okay fortune teller! Tell me--
What's two plus two!?"
I quickly answered with "SEVENTY-FOUR."
And he said "SWEET." Before jumping around like some handicapped child on a sugar high.
I couldn't see him very well through the hood, but that's pretty much what I assumed he did.
I was too busy figuring out where the hell the penny went down my shirt. D:<
I eventually grabbed a hold of it,
And I took it out and examined it.
I was mainly looking for the year it said;
Because,
There's a musical,
Called "Avenue Q"
And in this musical,
There's a song called "Purpose".
This song is sung by the character Princeton,
Who is looking for his purpose in life in this song.
In the beginning of the song, he finds a penny and picks it up,
And he quickly realizes;
It's from the year he was born.
And he then sings how it's a sign.
Because of this,
I looked at it.
And,
Sure enough,
It said "1992".
I freaking spazzed right then and there.
Showing it off happily,
I started singing that song out loud for everyone to hear.
"Oh look!
I found a penny--
It's from the year I was born!
[[Gasp]]
It's a siiiiiign!
I don't know how I know,
But I'm gonna find my purpose!
I don't know where I'm gonna look,
But I'm gonna find my purpose!
Gotta find out--
Don't wanna wait--
I've got to make sure that my life will be great!
