So I was having dinner with my best friend Scott last night, and his dad; who is pretty much my second dad told me that he was proud of me. When I asked him for what he said this,
"Everything. For helping Scott, then helping yourself. I've seen you grow these last 4 years and it's amazed me. You found your college all on your own, you know what you want to do, you kicked the SAT's a**, and now you're an interpreter for Spanish. I know you're going to go on to do great things."
As if that wasn't enough, my dad and mom both said very enthusiastically the saturday that I returned from my trip to California,
"None of our kids have ever done ANYTHING that you have. None of them are artists, none of them speak a different language fluently, none of them strive as hard as you do for perfection or the things they want, and NONE of them went out of state to a college that they found THEMSELVES. You are incredible, you're a writer, artist, and interpreter. No matter what you do in life, we know that it will be something you want and you will succeed."
So yeah... rolleyes
I'm having a bit of a smile for myself time right now.
