I read something interesting today: the idea that every sales pitch is not selling a product, but instead instilling fear.
What makes you buy a product? Of course, the obvious reasons range - it looks like a fun game, a good book, a nice meal. But what is the force behind the force? Fear. Not intimidation, but the fear that our lives won't be enjoyable without the product; we can't live a happy life without the ease or enjoyment the product will bring.
A rather poignant thought. Think about your motivation, and the motivation behind that.
You are now blinking manually.
